Topic: RE: Please help me! Any suggestions?
Dear Beth,
I can relate. It seems like I lose nothing for almost a month and then suddenly in one week I'll lose 2-3 pounds. It is really slow now, but I think we just got spoiled with all the fast losing at first. I see on the picture page that it took most people 18 months or so to reach their goal weight. Just be patient...it will happen in its own time.

I posted on here a month ago about not being able to lose any weight -- still no changes. I am one year out as of today. I have gone from 270 to 190 - that's 80 pounds. I'm done to a 14. The problem is that I haven't lost a single pound since JANUARY! Seriously - not a pound. I'm thankful that I haven't gained any weight - but I can't figure out how to get the scale to move.
I've adjusted my protein, my calories, my exercise, my water. Nothing. Even trying the South Beach Diet hasn't made any change.
Any suggestions would be great!!!
Beth

Topic: Finally--Under 200 pounds.
For the first time in my life since 1973, my weight has a one for the first number. WhooooHooooo. At the end of May I weighed in at 199 for the next 3 weeks I fluctuated betwee*****nd 202 so I decided I would wait until I had 3 weigh-in's in a row under 200 to make this post. As of Monday, I had my 4th weigh-in under 200. It's going much slower now but as long as I can see some progress, I am happy. I know I am gaining muscle and firming and toning mainly as a result of the physical labor required on my second job of stocking grocery shelves. Light lifting, bending, climbing, etc. A real good workout. I thougt my medical doctor would have a fit about me working a second job because before she didn't like me working a 12-hour shift at my first job. Since it is a job that requires physical activity she was pleased that I found a job where I could work out and get paid for it.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I agree about the loose skin surgery.
I too am having issues with sizes but I discovered LeRedoute and Speigels and they both have "grown up" clothes in sizes 0 and 2. I also HATE those lowrise outfits out there and find that if you go to the girls' department, they don't have them.
I wear a size 14 in little girls pants and skirts. LOL!!! Who KNEW!! I was NEVER this tiny. I had to get rid of 45 pairs of shoes since my foot size went from a 7.5 to 6.
I LOVE the new me!
WHAT A RIDE THIS HAS BEEN!

Topic: Well, today is my day! :-)
Hey all!
Today is my one year anniversary! I have lost 110 pounds and couldn't be happier! I was sorta kinda a bad girl for a little while there... had I been good all along I would be at goal now, but! It's all good I'm really pleased with the results. I've refocused and kicked those plateaus' butts to the curb I've also finally started exercising on a regular basis, which is quite an accomplishment for me!
I am two pounds away from being overweight. Wow! To no longer be obese will be just awesome! I'm wearing size 12 pants and size medium tops mostly This, I find amazing because I can't remember the last time I was this size. Maybe about 25 years ago when I was a pre-teen! Ack!
My ultimate goal is 135 pounds so I can have 5 pounds to play with and still remain at normal BMI. But I do want to look and feel good, so my final weight may be higher than that. And that will be just fine I want to be healthy (and look it!), and IMHO, being underweight is no better than being obese.
So we shall see!

Topic: Nothing fits...
Ok I NEVER, NEVER, NEVER thought I'd come out of a store complaining that the clothes are TOO BIG!!!! What a difference a year has made. Before weight loss surgery all the clothes were too small, now they're all too big. I think my insurance should pay for plastic surgery because it's a "FASHION NECESSITY." You see the junior sizes will fit better after I have the loose tummy skin removed. Hahahaha.....I get no sympathy from anyone I know when I complain about clothes being too big. LOL.
Went shopping on lunchtime today and all the size 4's I tried on are too loose. There are 2's in the junior dept but I don't like the way they sit so low on the hips. Woe is me....hehehehehe....I'd MUCH rather have this problem then the one I used to have being fat.
I love walking around looking like I do now! I love my new body and my new life as a skinny person.
Thank God for this surgery!

Kelly...Kelly...Kelly..... Do NOT be depressed!! You have done just awesome!!!!!!!! I started out at 245, just like you and I've only lost 85, and I feel like I am a complete success!! We have done awesome!! To loose 85 to 90% of your excess weight in one year, is outstanding!!! My doctor says I'm a complete success also and that I am not done losing yet. He feels that I will make it to goal in about 18 months. You probably will too. Just keep on, keeping on and we will do it!!!! I am at 160 and have been there for a couple of months. I'm only losing 2-3 lbs a month now, but it is still slowly coming off. It will for you too! Keep your chin up!

Topic: Depressed
Hey Junebugs...
I must say that I am really disappointed in myself. I was hoping to lose 100 lbs. by my one year anniversary but "sigh" I am only at 90 and holding fast. I am going to try a protein plateau buster but that will not effect my anniversary as it is coming in two days. I know 90 lbs is still an accomplishment but it is not what my goal was. I get depressed when everyone says they lost 150 or so pounds! I know I started out on the light side of MO but still...Anyway...happy anniversary to all who made your goal!!
Keep up the hard work!
