Topic: RE: Opinion on Vista Vitamins?
I have been on VistaVitamins from the very start. I personally have really liked them. Especially, because I do feel that they were instrumental on my minimal hair loss... why I think that, I don't know, but I do My labs have been pretty good, except for the most recent ones which show me with low iron/hgb/mcv levels, so I've had to start taking extra iron. And of course I get my monthly shot of B12 (plus started taking sublinguals as well). Now, having said that... I have a very good document on my website. I exchanged a few e-mail messages with the author and she's not really keen on the VistaVitamins. So, here's her document and you can be the judge I have been considering leaving Vista Vitamins and go with the regular multivitamins (in combination with all the extra vitamins and minerals) and see how I do with the cheaper alternative. I really like what the VistaVitamins makers say about ABSORPTION (which is key!), so I was thiking I could compare levels with VistaVitamins and without and see which regimen is best and go from there... Anyway, I'm done babbling Here's the document I mentioned: http://www.geocities.com/tiger_angie/VitaminMineralRecommendationsVersion25-050205.pdf Angie

I know what you mean! I have lately found myself saying in my mind..."well, that's it...the ride is over...this is where I will stay." I have never been smaller than what I am right now as an adult. I can't imagine being a 14 muchless a 10 or 12! I am in a 16, which I am tickled pink to be in. But, I definately have to work on being mindful of my food intake and exercise. I have behaved poorly for the past month. I definately think it has been mentally associated with my one year anniversary. Weird how that fat-person-syndrome works...what a vicious circle. I am sure glad I signed on today to take a look at the others in my boat. It really encouraged me to know I am not alone and not totally crazy. It also helped me to throw away a brownie I was chomping on and tell myself, I need PROTEIN! Thanks to you all for being here and signing on! Keep up the GREAT work! God bless you ALL! Marsha

Topic: RE: How have you celebrated your anniversary?
I scheduled my one year visit on the exact day. My doc is 4 hours away, so it was kind of like a mini-vacation for a day for me and my hubby. We went to the visit and I weighed in at 199.2! Yeah, officially below the 200 mark ON my anniversary date! I was too happy! We left and went to Irmo, SC and went shopping at the mall. I went to Parisian's and Belk. It was GRAND! I have never enjoyed a shopping venture quite so much! I bought size 16!!! Oh, yes! How wonderful! Lovin' Life! Marsha

Beth, First of all... Don't panic. You have done very well. Sometimes our bodies go into shock and resists losing those last few pounds. I would try logging EVERYTHING that you eat. I hear Fitday is good for that. (I'm lazy, I just write it down) After I evaluated that, I would try going back to the beginning with the liquids, protein onlys and such that we started with. Whenever I go on a protein only day or two, I lose about 5 pounds immediately. That sometimes jogs the body into behaving. Leslie Sansone's walk away the pounds tapes help a lot too. You can walk 4 miles in one hour IN YOUR LIVING ROOM! I hope some of these help. Ohhh.... here comes the nurse in me. Were you on blood preasure meds? If you were and have been taken off them, sometimes we retain water. That happened to one of my good friends. When she got put back on a low dose, she lost 15 pounds in one week. Congratulations on what you have done so far and best of luck. Hannah

Happy Anniversary to You! What a wonderful year this has been. My year was up on June 14th. I've lost 147 pounds and went from a size 24 to size 2's and 4's. I never imagined I'd have trouble finding clothes because everything is too big! But what a wonderful problem that is! I love the new me and it's damn nice walking around looking like THIS. Congrats to you on your success! I think I'm done losing since I'm a few pounds below goal. Next I'd like to have the skin removed which will take off a few more pounds. Good luck to you! congrats to you Connie! My anniversary was on June 14th and what a wonderful year it has been. It's damn nice walking around looking like I do now, instead of that old fat me. I love the new me and am hoping to love me even more after I have some loose skin removed, although it will be expensive since I'm not expecting the insurance to cover any of it. I've gone from a size 24 to a size 4, and now the 4's are getting loose. I'm heading into the girls dept. next to shop. What a complete opposite problem to have, which I never expected. To not be able to find clothes that are tight enough....wow! Good luck to you. I think I'm done losing and since I'm a few pounds below goal that's just fine. Terry Coles 276/129

Hi Junebugs, I've been without computer access this week but wanted to wish my surgery buddies a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, although belated! My anniversary was two days ago and although I didn't make my "anniversary goal" I am just ten pounds shy of it, so I'm not too disappointed. I started at 300 lbs in a size 5X/30-32 . . . this week I'm wearing size 12 jeans and Large tops, and the scale is hovering between 170-172. The last couple of months have been really slow but when I started tracking my food again on fitday.com and paying more attention to protein and cutting out the JUNK again, the scale moved 5 lbs. last week. So this month I'll be focusing on the BASICS and staying on track so I can start to lose this last 20-25 lbs. Are ya with me?!!! -BJ 300/170/150??? and needing PS from the chin on down LOL

Topic: 1 Year Anniversary!!
Well, today is my one year anniversary. I am down 106 lbs. and now wear a size 12. I still have 25 lbs. to go and it is getting lots slower! I came on here hoping to see some of the people I met in the hospital, but I don't see anyone. Oh well...I do see a lot of people who have made the hard journey. I am so proud to be a part of this group of people. We may all be "losers," but we are all winners to me! Keep on losing! Connie Wise
