I am not unhappy with my weightloss. I loss about 110 lbs. I look at pictures of me before and for a split second I don't recognize this person. I NEVER ever saw myself as that fat!!! I should step up the exercise again. I was really good , but, now I have been alittle slack... I can eat bigger portions, which scares me, because I'm used to eating such small amounts and I think I'm eating too much.. anyone else have that "head" problems...: .. oh well just stopped bye to say hi to all you junebugs.. good luck all, Mary

WOW! so you are feeling good now right! great!!! I went for a consult last month, so now it's just a waiting game..... we'll see. are you healing o.k. ? how's your pain level? Is it very painful?? I think this will be more painful than the surgery will be.. but, well worth it to get this excess skin off. good for you and keep up the great work. Mary

Topic: Back from Hospital
Hi Gang......Well, I spend my one year in the hospital...Had my TT done... All went well until the second day...Started having blood clotts and Dr. had to go back in to remove them...Then I needed 2 blood transfusions...Please any one planning on have this surgery make sure all your blood work comes out good.....my iron and everything else was all on the low side. Thats what caused all the problems....I am fine now but I sure was scared there for awhile....Still swollen and sore but it will take time to get back to normal. One other thing that made me very happy.....Dr. said he removed about 18 pounds of skin and fat...so after all is said and done I should be done to about 115lbs. Good luck to all who are considering a TT.. Karen 6-30/288/131 should be down to 115 when swelling and water weight is gone.

Abby, I am not unhappy with the loss. I think I could do better but then again I have set very high standards for myself. Its hard to compete with yourself. I think we should view this as any weight we have taken off is a major accomplishment. Before the surgery I can tell you I put on more than I ever took off so just taking it off is a MAJOR WOW! Okay so you are not religous about your exercise....You are still doing it! That is good and is a wonderful accomplishment that you should be proud of! Sometimes it just takes time to get to where we want to be.....You can do it just stay positive....Bah Humbug to that Dr.'s nurse for giving you a negative comment like that. Turn it around and make it positive for yourself.....We all have way too much negative talk in ourselves. We need to be more positive. I am positive you are doing wonderful things with your loss and it will continue for you! Focus! Debbie

I received a free sample of the Vista Vitamin spray and took it to my WLS doctor and he felt it was missing a few essential ingredients so he said I could use it but he still wanted me to take my 3 Flintstones Vitamins a day. Trish

Topic: Anyone unhappy with their weightloss?
Everyone seems to be doing so well, and has alot to be proud of. I am wondering, however, are there alot of us out there who lurk, and are not doing as well? No one likes to post that they have not lost as much as others. It amazes me how some people lose no matter what, no exercise, little protien, etc. I try, but I am not perfect. IF I WAS GOOD AT DIETING, I WOULD NOT HAVE NEEDED THIS SURGERY!! At my 6 month check up, the nurse was dissappointed in me for not losing 100 lbs yet. I am 13 mo out, and still haven't lost 100lbs. I do need to exercise more, but I am pretty good about protien and water and vitamins. I know I can do better, and I keep trying, but I see everyone post such great success, and doubt I will ever achieve similar results. I have always lost slower. I have not gone to my 1year check up yet, and I know they will be disappointed. I had a huge pannus before surgery, and bad knees and hips, making exercise difficult. I go to water aerobics 3x/wk, and try to ridde a bike occasionally. So...anyone else not losing as much as some????

Beth, I don't know about vista at all. I just know that from the start, I was told to take Centrum from the very beginning and I have had WONDERFUL bloodwork results. (as long as we ignore the iron. I've been anemic my entire life). From everything I've learned, the big difference is the price. Read the labels and compare. Since we have to do this for the rest of our lives, I go with Centrum. Topic: RE: Please help me! Any suggestions?
Hey Beth, I am in the same boat as you are. I had lost 80 lbs for my 1 year which was June 9th. I weighed in this morning at 146...I gained 8 lbs. And I already know why...I have went back to emotional eating. What is up with that? Why would i do that. going from 218 and a size 20-22 to a 6-8 and 138lbs. Why>? I just sometimes feel so hungry and I am totally choosing the wrong foods. Not too many things make me sick. I can eat just about anything. You are not alone. I guess what my sister said was true...we all get use to the honeymoon stage...but its a tool and we have to use it the right way. Im talking to myself...not you...(lol) I would take the others advice...your at a plateau and dont give up...keep the water going. Prayers are with you Cherish Louisiana
