Topic: RE: Changing original goal weight?
I just kept going until my body stopped losing. My original weight goal was 130. When I saw my surgeon at my one year checkup he said I was all skin and bones and probably wouldn't lose much more, maybe another 5 pounds. He was right. I got to 125 and my body just stopped losing. Then 6 weeks ago I had a tt, thigh lift and belt lipectomy and lost another 4-5 pounds which is still coming off since I'm still swollen. I fought the last 5 pounds (from 135-130) for months before it came off. But I'm stubborn and I'd do hours of exercise to make it happen.
I'm also a believer of eating the most amount of protein for the least amount of calories. For me that's ff cheese slices, ff cottage cheese, 40 calorie bread (Nature's Own has one that has 4g of protein), sliced sandwich meats (there are some that only have 25 calories in them) eggbeaters and fruits. Not to say that I don't eat junkfood sometimes because I DO. I don't dump on anything so I do eat what I want, just not all the time. But I didn't do that when I was trying to lose.
I'm only 5'3" and think I'll end up around 120 when the swelling goes down from my ps which is fine since people tell me I look like I weigh around 100 pounds. I'm wearing between a size 2 and 4, or I buy clothes in the girls dept so I don't need to get any smaller. Besides now that the loose skin is gone I can see my hip bone. I know my hips aren't going to get any smaller.
Well I'll shut up already. Good luck to you. Keep dreaming girl and turn that dream into reality!

I pretty much stopped losing 4 months ago. My goal weight was 130, I got down to 125 and stopped. Had a tt, belt lipectomy and thigh lift and he took off close to 5 pounds of skin so I'm losing only because of that. But I'm not looking to lose anymore either. I'm just thrilled that I'm maintaining my weight during this period of recovery from plastic surgery. It's been 5 weeks now and I never thought I could stop exercising and stay at the same weight.
When I was able to exercise I was eating about 1000 -1200 but would burn off 400 at least at the gym. I eat about 250-400 calories per meal. I get about 70g of protein per day, drink 130 oz of fluids and would do about 30-45 min of cardio plus weights 5 days a week.
A sample of what I eat is : breakfast is 1/2 c ff cottage cheese with sf jelly and strawberries, 1 slice of 40 calories toast with ff cream cheese and sf jelly. (or 5 Ritz crackers and 2 slices of ff cheese) A handful of raisins.
Lunch: 2 slices of sandwich meat and ff cheese, some kind of fruit, sometimes a few crackers and a powercrunch cookie.
Dinner: Some kind of meat and veggie
I'm wearing anywhere from a size 2 to 4 and I'm all skin and bones, so don't need to lose anymore.
Hope this helps you! Good luck!

Topic: Changing original goal weight?
Hey Junebugs, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
I'm just wondering how many of you have reached your original goal weight -- only to lower it? As I get closer to my original goal of 150 (I'm 5'6") I'm still feeling FAT and am thinking about going a little bit smaller, say, 140?
Which is kind of laughable at this point since I've been toying with the same eight pounds since this summer.
Oh well, a girl can dream, right?

Nope not losing and have nobody to blame but myself. Eating the wrong things -- not enough protein and way too many carbs. I am still bouncing from 157 to 164. My TT/hernia surgery was rescheduled for tomorrow morning 11/25 and I'm hoping that the surgeon is able to remove a couple pounds of flab/skin from my "spare tire" and that will motivate me into getting back on track. I am disgusted with myself right now, though, need to get back on track and stop wasting time.

Happy ThanksGiving!
No I am not still losing....but its because of me. I play with the same 5 lbs all the time. I have been at this weight since this summer. I weigh myself daily to make sure I don't go up any further. My problem is I need to exercise more and get all of my water in. The protein is not a problem....just the other 2.
Although I have lost 137 lbs. and am thrilled.....I am beginning to feel fat again....so I need to kick it up and try to feel that "thin" feeling again.I don't want my head to take over my body AGAIN....So
Thanks for reminding us that we are on the tail end of the window and not to waste any more time.

Well its quicky approaching the 18th month.....Are you still losing? Me I haven't lost a pound in a few weeks....I go up and down the same pound. I do have to do that blasted food diary again and see if there is any tweaking I can do. If you are losing, what calories are you committed to at this point and how much exercise do you do?

Hi Terry. I too had my T.T. on Sept 7th. believe it or not I am still a tad swollen.. and still numb right around the middle. BUT!! wow what a difference. I can't believe the change. I lost about 9-10 lbs since the T.T.
I weighted in at time of T.T. at 154 now I'm at 145... and you know what I LOVE.,LOVE, LOVE the most?? is that my shirts fit sooooooo much nicer when you don't have all those rolls!!! and that big old lump of fat around my pants.. I now feel that I have lost weight. before I know people told me.. oh how skinny I was.. but, with all that flab hanging in down there I felt really fat still. now I look at myself and wonder who's body is this?? It's really mine??? whoa!!!
Take care of yourself and keep us all posted
Mary.

I don't post often as of late, but I do check this board every day to catch up on everyone's progress! I am stalling between 157-163 for the past three weeks (hate looking at the scale on the 160+ days, something about seeing a one and a five in the number thrills me LOL).
I'm two weeks away from hernia repair and tummy tuck, covered by UHC insurance. I need a LOT more work done, however. I am going to start saving money for breast lift/augmentation and hopefully next summer I can get that done. My thighs look HORRIBLE too but I don't know if I hate them enough to pay out of pocket to have them fixed.
Right now I'm panicking about the upcoming TT, trying to get the house clean, childcare arrangements solidified, etc. I am nervous as all get-out.
