count me in I get tired all the time. I think I need a nap at least 2-3times a day. The Dr said it will last for about 2-3 months

I had my surgery 6/21. I have lost 17 pounds also. I am exercising like crazy. I am a lightweight. It is easy to get discouraged when it seems like most people have lost 40-50 by this point. Nothing we can do about it though....other than stick to the plan. By the way... I still don't feel great!

Topic: feeling restriction, FINALLY!
Hi all,
My surgeon cleared me for "heavier" foods last week and I am finally feeling some fullness/restriction when eating, say, chicken salad -- I can get in anywhere from 3 small bites during some meals . . . to 1/3 cup other meals, depending on the time of day. Weird.
Amazingly enough, now that I am allowed to chew (!), I am still gravitating towards softer foods (yogurt and the like) because I can't stand that uncomfortable feeling of not knowing exactly how new, heavier stuff is going to affect me.
I'm still not cleared to eat bread yet. And, broccoli and cauliflower are on the no-no list as well, he says they are too difficult to digest. But I can eat shaved ham/turkey from the deli, broiled fish and a couple of other things new.

Topic: RE: Are YOU exercising?
Currently I'm working out at 35 min. a day on the Treadmill or the Elliptical machine at my gym about 4-5 days a week.
I'm not sure if its a combination of the healthier diet and the excersise but my energy is through the roof! I love it. Don't get me wrong, there are days I'm just too wiped out to do it but I tell myself I'll just to 20 min, when I get to 20 I might as well continue the rest. I also tell myself "bikini body, bikini body"!

BJ,
I work at a manufacturing company and figured out that if I walk from the back of the plant all the way around to the other "office" buiding, that is a quarter of a mile, instead of walking from the front just across the parking lot. I also started friday, swimming for 15 minutes in the morning. I plan to swim on mon/wed/fridays. I realize that humidity can be awful, but the one thing I always say about it is: The hotter or more humid the weather, the more I sweat. The more I sweat, the more I lose. Giggle. Even if it is just for 10 mins girlfriend, try to get out there. That is how I started. Just think, Weigh****chers only asks for their members to walk 20 minutes a day, in 10 minute increments at first. And the other ladies have given you some great ideas too.
Hope this helps.

Okay, so you want to exercise. That's good. Now, move that want into action. Take Baby Steps...Turn up the radio loud and dance around the livingroom with the kids (I have 4 and they love it 11/9/4/2). Jump, turn, walk in place. Just do what you can. In a short while, doors of opportunity will open. So, just try not to beat yourself up over this. It will come. Also, one of the big reasons for exercise is to try to keep the muscle we have. Get some weights or they have those stretchy bands and just do a little strengthening. Good luck! Right now I can't even walk these days very much. I feel so tired. But I WILL get to it. Waiting on the energy burst!

I know what you mean about those shakes. I am forcing as much as I can down, but it seems to be less and less. They do seem to make me feel better when I can get some down. I am leaning towards the softer foods like yogurt. The heavy stuff makes me feel so bad. I am waiting on it to improve. I hope I wake up in the morning and have a big giant burst!
Good luck!
