I am doing good so far and like you. I haven't had any complications. I am a slow loser my surgeon said because I was on the "lightside" that I wouldn't lose alot at one time like others. So, far I have lost 44lbs.(yippee) the most that i have ever lost in my life at one time. I have so much more energy now and enjoy spending time with my kids. The only problem that I have had with having the surgery has been my husband excepting the change. How are your kids doing? I so happy to know that you have the surgery. Please don't be a stranger... Be Blessed, Sharonne

Well . . . hmmm . . . LET EM LAUGH . . . although to their credit, they've certainly managed to keep straight faces all these years when I was pushing 310 yet "claiming" to weigh 260 on the license, LOL. -BJ

I'm also anemic, I just take a flintstone vitamin with extra iron everyday, Ferrous Sulfate is good also, my mom takes that for her anemia

Heh Heh Heh! Mine too! AND, my wedding rings don't fit! My hubby is having a cow over that one. You do realize that they will laugh when you go in at goal and ask that they change your weight don't you? H

H Tamara, I too am anemic. I have actually always been. My levels were lower than a cancer patient's and I was in danger of not being able to have my WLS. The supplement will immediately boost your levels. The only side effects I have had is constipation and black BMs, that is very common with iron supplements. I have been moved to one pill every other day now. Make sure you stay away from slow FE. RNY patients do not digest that very well. If we have to buy it, the least we could do is get the one that our pouch is going to absorb. Good Luck, H

I just got my blood test results back for my three month check up coming next week; My PCP says I am anemic! She recommends an additional iron supplement, but I don't know if that is enough. What do you all think or suggest? Tamara 12 weeks post op 313/269/170
