I fluctuate withing a 5-pound window for a while, then I will drop more weight. I'm a slow loser, always have been since the surgery. I am between 181 and 185. Still getting smaller. Hopefully am building muscle. I pretty much eat what I want when I want. Very little makes me dump or sick. I'm not sure what my goal weight should be.

Hi Jessica, 152lbs is not a failure at all. Think of it this way. What would happen if you picked up something or somebody that weighed 150lbs and had to carry it/them everywhere you went? You would probably collapse not too longer afterwards from the extra weight. Well, you have done rid yourself of that excess weight with the benefit of the surgery. Are you where you would ideally like to be? Sounds like you aren't but there are a number of us in that very same boat. I had my surgery on the same day as another guy with the same first name. He reached his goal weight within a year of having the surgery. In fact, I guess he is trying to add come calories to his diet to maintain his weight....what a luxury!!! There are times that I get jealous and mad because he makes it seem so simple and that following the program is simple and easy for anyone to follow. My post surgery path has been smooth and my only problem is that I can eat pretty much what I want these days and in quantities that I thought I would never be able to consume. To compensate, I have really tried to keep up with exercising but I can't seem to crack the 250 barrier and eventually reach 220 when I will look into a TT at a minimum. I have never regretted having the surgery but I would like to get back on the train to losing weight again. It seems that our bodies eventually find a way to compensate for the changes made during WLS and now we are back to fighting a battle to lose weight that is basically the same as before WLS. I know this isn't offering alot of insight on how to jump start your weight loss again but please know that there are many out there like yourself and we need to continue to "fight the good fight" to get to the weight that we ideally want in life. Happy holidays to all you looooosers! I'm doing wonderful. I'm 5'8" and started at 386 and today weigh 171 That's 215 pounds!! I have so much energy that my husband is very tired! He doesn't understand that I have about 25 years of sitting around to make up for. I too enjoy shopping for myself. My two skinny daughters are feeling a bit left out. I shop for myself now instead of them! No real dumping, just problems knowing what bite should be my last. I tend to overeat and then have problems keeping solids down. If I stop at the 3rd or 4th bite I can keep it...otherwise I can't. Sweets will always be a problem and grazing...I make sure I have my protein first, but if at 9pm I have all of that taken care of I might have that cookie or brownie square. Goal: 165 Favorite healthy food: Cheese Wow moment: Christmas Shopping...I loved it this year... didn't ever "poop out"

Don, that is a GREAT idea about the league . . . I hadn't even thought about checking out league activities in lieu of just-plain-exercise. Perhaps for me, joining a volleyball league will kill several birds with one stone -- burn calories, get me out of the house and away from the fridge, and expand my now-tiny social network. Thanks for planting this idea in my head! -BJ

I'd like to be at goal for my 2 year checkup in June. I have about 30lbs to go. I'd also like to find a flag football league in my area. Exercise is going okay, but now that I can actually participate in athletic activities, I'd like to do so.
