Topic: Check out my new Before and After Pics....
I finally got around to posting some on here and also on my blog.  Take a look if you're interested.  What an adventure looking through those pictures.  A 5 year journey I would do over and over again.  LapBand was the best thing that ever entered my life.  I love it!

Topic: Bulimia Nervosa after weight loss surgery......say it ain't so!
Has anyone heard of anyone developing bulimia after weight loss surgery?  I mean...you are making your stomach "smaller" making it difficult to get food down.  Where else can it go but up...right?  Just wondering if anyone has had this experience.....

Happy Tuesday!  :-)

Who told me I could play football?  Just because you lose weight does NOT make you "in shape"!  That's for sure!

Anyway, today I didn't even want to get out of bed.  I feel like doing nothing.  I had to give myself a "pep talk" so I don't spiral out of control.  It's a battle I go through a lot.  At the drop of a hat, I could be right back where I started.  I know some of you can relate.....

We cannot let that happen people!!!!

Topic: My very first football practice!
Today my husband and I are going to football practice.  I've never played a sport in my life.  I've never been asked to play a sport.  This is not only crazy but adventurous and fun!  I'm excited.

I know I can do it.....I better not break a nail.  LOL!

Everyone have a great weekend!

Topic: Happiness......
Happiness comes from within...  losing weight does not necessarily bring happiness...you have to fix what is within as well.  Keep that in mind...  What is the real problem?

Just giving you something to think about....

Happy Friday!

Topic: LapBand for LIFE!
Check it out:   http://flab2fabdiva.wordpress.com/

Hey~

I felt the need to start a blog.  I had Lap-Band 5 years ago with Dr. Patel in South Jersey in 2004 and I wanted to talk about it.  I'm inviting you to come take a look and let me know what you think.  I'm just learning this blog stuff so it's real simple, but I think I've got a story to tell and it's about time I wrote it down.  If I can help someone in the process, that would be a blessing.

I would love to one day have advertisements to my favorite products and links.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

God Bless~

Topic: RE: RNY not good for me.
Gosh, I should check the June 04 boards more often . . . I totally agree with Lyn's advice on this one -- fight your insurance through the appeal(s) process. With a stoma documented that large, there is absolutely no way your RNY could not be considered a mechanical failure at this point.

Good Morning Elosie,
Sorry about taking so long to get back to you, I am usually only on here in the mornings. I thought of one more thing you can try, to get you some help.
People fight their insurance companies all the time for revisions. There are people on the revision forum that are "in the know" about these things. Please, please post this again on the revision forum and ask them how to go about fighting your insurance for a second surgery. If your stoma is so big (that's huge, you poor thing) how could possible maintain the weight? You're never gonna feel full. All of this is NOT your fault. It's a mechanical failure and the doctor that did it, must fix it! Please fight them some more....You sound so depressed, gosh I would be too! Please post this again, cause there is people out there that can help you. For instance, a member here, Diana Cox fought legally to make her insurance company pay for a DS, (duodenal switch) surgery, when they turned her down the first time. She appealed it and won. The insurance company was forced to cover her surgery 100%. So there is help. Just post something detailed about what questions you want answered and I'm sure someone, on the revision forum or the main board even, will steer you in the right direction for help!
Here is the link to the revision forum. I would start there.  I wish you the best of luck and hang in there! I'm right here to cheer you on!!!!
