this was really interesting to read to see where everyone is right now, thanks for posting! open rny: 6.2.04 height: 5'7" starting weight: 350 monday's weight: 256 total loss so far: 94 my hair is REALLY falling out too. i swear i've lost about 1/2. luckily i had a ton of hair to start with, so it's not too noticable yet. i've also been working out, lots of cardio and weight training (to try to help my skin bounce back). about 4-5 times a week if not more. great to hear how well everyone is doing!! chris

I had my surgery on June 2nd. I am down 105 pounds. My hair started falling out right on schedule. I am looking forward to the 6 month point which is when my sister's hair started coming back. Before surgery I was taking 9 pills a day for various problems. I am now only taking 1 mild BP medicine. Best regards, Kathy

Hi June bugs,

I had open rny on June 7th. I weigh myself on Monday mornings and as of last Monday I was at 177. My highest weight was 257 and my weight the day of surgery was 237. That is 60 from my surgery, but a total of 80. Wow!!!

Alicia: Way to go!! Keep up the good losses...you'll be in a teeny size before you know it. I haven't bought any new clothes yet, but did get to give a box of my "too big" stuff to Goodwill last week...what a great feeling. My RNY was 6/7/04 and I just hit the -80 lb mark! My clothes are really loose, but i'm waiting until about Christmas before I get some new ones. You go girl! Faye

Open RNY June 17 start wt 429 Now 295 down 134 Loving the wght loss. Hate the hair loss. So many changes in such a short time. Feel better than I have in years though am still tired but can walk and talk which is great. I am another one who knew that I wouldn't be here for the holidays without the surgery. Don't regret it for a minute. Wishing everyone the best.

My surgery Open-RNY on June 9th Starting weight of 310 as of today 224 Total Loss so far - 86 lbs. I am feeling great and knock on wood have not had any problems. I am not trying to brag so please forgive. I take my vitiams daily. I get them from www.bariatricsupplementsystem.com they are just as cheap as you can get them from the stores. I drink a protein drink daily which has about 50 mgs. I see my doctor in two weeks for a check up.
