other than using splenda to bake and spray oil for cooking I think you can make anything you normally did. I like Tapioka pudding so Im going to use Carb Countdown milk to make it so there will be more protein in it. Use peeled apples sliced up put them in a baking pan sprayed with pam, sprinkle some cinnimin sugar over them and bake till they are soft. I was going to try adding them to some fatfree vanilla pudding.I have a fruit salad recipe that is excellent I'll look it up and send it off to you. Thanksgiving will be taking a new meaning.. not the food like it use to be but Living! so much to be thankful for now, we need to make new traditions like how we exercise big time the day before, the walk we take after the dinner as a family.... something to shift the view from "food" to "Life" Patti, in Montague

lap rny 06/30/04 starting weight was 5'10" 305. I am about 205/204 ish. depending on the time of day. Someone take that scale away from me!! 50lbs to go to be at MY goal. 40 to be at My surgeons goal for me.... I go to the gym 4-5 days a week. I have lost half of my already thin hair. I too look like a cancer pt. My weight loss has slowed. But as long as it doesn't go the opposite direction I am good. As far as protine goes. I don't count. I know I don't get enough. I don't count calories, and I don't count carbs. My carbs are very limited tho. I drink massive amounts of water/tea with splenda. Love it. Wouldn't take it back for anything... and yes, getting hit on is SOOO weird. almost disgusts me. I think I may neet to see a therapist.. Lol the best things I have gotten from this are 1 my health and 2 My sex drive.. Hell yeah.. Feels good to be a loser. Korianne 305/205/150ish healthy and sexxy

I don't think lap banders have as much of a hair loss problem because they don't have the malabsorption issue.. Right?? Korianne

Topic: RE: New Years Goal !!!!
Lets see, I am 5 months out, almost and My news year goal was originally to be down to 200 before the end of the year. I am at 205 now, so maybe I will move the new years goal to the turkey day goal. Joining a gym was the best thing I could've done for myself. We rock don't we girls?? feels good to be a loser. Korianne 305/205/150

Topic: RE: New Years Goal !!!!
When I had my surgery at the end of June, I had hoped to lose 100 lbs in the first six months. So, my original "New Years" goal would have been to weigh 200 lbs by 12/29. Since it's unlikely that I will meet my Turkey Day goal of 208 (can you believe I am still stuck between 221-224 after 6 weeks grrrrrrr . . .) I will just say that my goal NOW for New Years is just to make some downward progress, LOL!!! -BJ 300/224-1-2-4-2-4 LOL/who knows

Topic: RE: Turkey Day Mini-Goal Progress???
Serious doubt here. I plateaued for 4 weeks, lost a few and have now stalled again. Drats! Oh well, nothing I can do about it. I guess this body will give it up when it's good and ready. I am still following all the rules, so hopefully things will kick into gear soon.

Celena, I may have chosen to high of a goal for New Years but it would be nice to do it....I am now at 299 lbs and would love to see 250 lb by then. I can wear 24's now and well they are not loose and baggy yet its nice to be below 32! I want to try and get a meal schedule set...its hard day after day and with things constantly interrupting you. I wish I could be more disclipined so that is what I will work on. You are doing well and thanks for the post! Debbie
