Topic: What's a good way to kick start my weight loss again?
I'm 24 weeks out tomorrow & my loss has slowed way down...I've lost 90lbs but I'm down to losing about a pound a week for the last few weeks. What can I do to get me going again? I've increased my water intake to 4 liters per day(128oz) & I'm getting in 100gms of protein per day(2 bottles of Isopure(40gms) per day in addition chicken/fish) & I've increased my aerobic workout to an hour a day(walking & bicycling). What else can I do? Any suggestions? 396/355/265/200?

Surgery June 7th, 2004 Height 5' 6 1/2" Starting weight 252 Current weight 187 Lynn, You and I have similar weight loss stats. It does make you feel better knowing you are not alone. The last month was slower, but I still lost inches. I am wearing a 14 now, so at least, I can see a change. My hair is really falling out now. It's not real obvious. My hair just looks "very flat." I was 261 and now I'm 194. That's 66 lbs since June 29th. I've slowed down, but I don't think I'm getting enough liquids. Appetite is too good, also. No probs getting in the protein. Walking 2.5 miles 3 x's a week with hubby. Hair falling out still, so I got it cut and highlighted. Now I only have to manage 3" segments, instead of 6"+ segments. Makes life easier. I have 34 lbs to go. Down to my hubby's 36" waiste shorts now. Kristy

Hi Jamie, I am responding to your post because I noticed that you misunderstood what I said. First, it has been 5 months not six since my surgery. Second, I have lost a TOTAL of 131 pounds in the last 10 months but ONLY a respectable 75 since my surgery on June 11, 2004. I you read my profile, you will realize that I am one of those people who sets almost unattainable goals for herself and then actually make myself believe that I can achieve it. My favorite saying is, "Aim for the moon, if you miss, you will land among the stars" Please don't compare yourself to anyone. We are all different and we will lose at different speeds. I read further down that LeAnn had her surgery 5 days after me and has lost the same amount, Heather had hers 10 days after me and has lost 84 pounds. BJ too, had surgery after me has lost more than I have. My normal reaction would be to look at my weight loss and consider it nothing. Now, I'm just thrilled that we are all doing so well. Think about what weight we all were on June 1, 2004. We've come a long way, JUNE-BUGS ROCK!!! Hannah 5'1"~~~272 highest weight 216/141/121?

Topic: RE: New Years Goal !!!!
This is an old thread, but I thought I would add to it. My goal for the New Year is to get down to my goal by anniversary. I want to be 135 by June 21. I am now at 185, so it is possible. My mini goal for by New Years it to lose 15 more pounds. That will be 5 pounds more than my doctors goal. Heather 269/185/135
