Topic: RE: Newby has a question for the pros about hair...
I haven't used anything for hair loss. Mine has been minimal. Nothing more than the usual daily loss. But my hair is short also. Not sure about any of the shampoos or the like. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Topic: Newby has a question for the pros about hair...
Just had my surgery this month, and wondered about hair loss, any of you use the biotin and not lost hair yet? I don't want to waste my time if it is a myth. Thanks! I will share your info with my November 2004 surgery board.

Topic: GOING DOWN !
Hello to everyone I have lost a total of 73 pounds since June 21, 04, I'm now in a size 10 jeans and medium shirt. My current weight is 159 it seems as though the weight is slowing down but to be very honest I'm happy at my current weight. I had a personal goal and that was to be in a size 10 by my birthday and I have done it before my birthday.
Topic: RE: How did everyone fair through Thanksgiving?
We had a nice Thanksgiving, but I am "thankful" it's over too, LOL! I did all of the cooking and the only problem I had the entire day was grazing and tasting as I cooked things -- by the time I sat down for the actual meal I only had enough room for 2-3 bites of food.
I figure if I did overindulge a bit on T-day, I more than made it up burning calories as I had to clean the entire house, vacuum, dusting, the works . . . I had about an hour to clean before our guests got here and I whipped through here like a tornado, phew!
Have spent the last couple of days doing the "leftover" route and eating sensibly.
Did not meet my T-day goal of 208 which I guess was unrealistic -- but I hit 214 over the weekend so I'm still thrilled.

I wanted to be 223 and I weighed in at 215! YAY!!
Topic: RE: Weight?
Everyone is different, our metabolisms are different. Your age has a lot to do with how much weight you lose. I weighted 283 when I had mine and am now 209. I know others who had it on the same day and have reached the century mark. So long as you are doing what you are suppose to do you will lose, but more slowly since you are not that far from goal. Also, the less you have to lose the slower it usually goes. Some of us have been "blessed" with bodies that just won't let go of the extra pound easily. Good luck

I don't remember what my goal was.lol. Anyway, I am now 209, my next goal is to get below 200 by christmas. I had been on a nasty plateau, but finaly broke it. I have upped my exercise and am hoping this will keep the pound coming off. I have also been very vigilant about the carbs and I think that has helped alot.
Topic: Weight?
I have been looking at some other posts. Some people who started at the same weight as me and had surgery 3 months after me are way out doing me at the losing part. Why Whyyy am I not losing. My loss has stopped to about 5 pounds a month.
I started at 240 Surgery on 6-1-04 and I'm only at 170-172 today. I hope my surgeon does not yell at me when I go in on Wednesday.
