I am not a June Baby-- a July baby sneaking a peak at the grown-ups
I came on the June page to see how the weight loss was going for all of you and I have to say that the potatoes in the shopping cart was an EXCELLENT idea...and ....I still say we should have our own little area on OH for " I didnt lose 100 pounds in one month" people like ourselves
good luck to you all and thanks for the encouraging words I stole a peak at....

Topic: RE: Hair Loss Question...
Hi Evelyn,
I am 6 months out today. My hair started to fall out 1 week befroe my 3 month mark. And boy, did it come out. I lost at least half of my hair, easily. My labs were fine. My surgeon told me not to waste my money on anything that was supposed to "help" stop it. I tool my vitamins, got my protein. And I swear, like clockwork, 2 weeks ago it stopped. As suddenly as it started. My hair is already much stronger and healthier looking. So it wil stop, don't fret!

Topic: RE: How did everyone fair through Thanksgiving?
I got a baby plate, and piled food on it, and ended up only eating about half of the baby plate, I still have a problem judging my portions, but I only had a few nibbles of dessert, and only a few drinks, so overall my Thanksgiving wasnt too bad this year....actually this is the best Thanksgiving I've ever had because I am 90lbs lighter!!!!!
Topic: RE: Newby has a question for the pros about hair...
I haven't used anything either. I have had quite a bit of hair loss....just make sure that you get ALL of your protien in. I can tell when I need to up mine...my hair starts falling out again. But my hair dresser said that is is growing back and now I have lots of new stubble.
I also got my hair cut short after a while because my hair was looking pretty straggly. On a nother note....I did have problems the first 2 months after surgery. That didn't help with getting my protien in....there fore, lots of hair loss. But every one is different.

Topic: RE: Weight?
I think that you are doing GREAT!!! I too started at 240 and now am down to 178. I have gone from a 20W/22W to a 10/12!!! I couldn't be happier!
I have had a couple of LONG platueas that were kind of discouraging, but I lose inches. So keep your chin up!!!
Remember NOT to compare yourself to others.....you are the only you, and that should make you smile.
Would you have lost this much on your own with out surgery and KEEP it off????? Probably not.....OK.....NO! So don't get down on yourself!!
Chin up hun!!!

Topic: After Thanksgiving Weigh-in Day
I got on the scales today expecting them to stay the same. I thought I had indulged a little too much during the weekend. However, I was pleasantly surprised by a 2 pound weight loss this week.
Now to get through the rest of the holiday season without blowing it.
This will be the first holiday season that I will NOT gain 10 to 15 pounds from October through January.
At the rate I have been losing, I will make my long term goal by the time I have set for myself to be at goal.
And I no longer have more pounds to lose than what I am supposed to weigh.![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/dance.gif)

Topic: RE: Weight?
Comparing our losses with others is dangerous to our self-esteem but we all do it.
A 70 pound loss is great.
What other "diet" have you been on that you have lost so much in such a short time. I am a slow loser as well. I have lost 67 pounds since June 21, 04 and am very happy with my progress. As long as the scales are moving in the right direction, I'm happy. Slow and steady wins the race.
