Topic: RE: PIZZA PARTY!!!!!
I've had pizza too and I haven't had any problems. But I doubt you'll be able to eat more than 1/2 of 1 slice. Enjoy!

Hey Jer, I have had pizza and it is fine. I just eat the toppings and not the crust. Tried that once and it made me . Just take it slow and maybe bring a backup food item Heather 269/167/135

Isn't is wonderful not to have heartburn any more?! I took my self off my RX for my heartburn and I just love not having to take so much meds anymore.

Topic: RE: Anyone with a hernia?
I have had 4 umbilical hernia surgeries before having my RNY. It's important that it is done laproscopically because if it is done open the muscles surrounding the incision to fix the hernia can become week and cause another hernia. Be prepared for discomfort and plan on having lots of pillows nearby at home. They are helpful when you have to cough, place the pillow over your hernia repair to soften the movement of your muscles during the cough. Also they are helpful to keep you proped up in bed during your recovery. It's hard to move from a lying down position to sitting up, so if you can stay somewhat proped up, you'll be more comfortable. I wish you the best of luck! Terri

Topic: RE: Stuck again - I think......
Congratulations on your weight loss. I've only had one plateau at about 5 weeks out that lasted about 3 weeks. During that time, I was losing inches. I am convinced that the more I eat the more I lose. I know that does not make sense, but over Thanksgiving I ate all I wanted including pumpkin pie and lost 3 pounds that week. Before that I was losing around 1 pound a week. I am still eating a lot less than I did before having the surgery and I never plan to go back to my old eating habits. Perhaps you are not eating enough calories to keep your body from going into starvation mode and hanging onto your fat. Chart your calorie intake for a couple of weeks and see how much you are eating.
