Wow Mary, I am close to your stats. I am down 92 lbs. and my 7 month date was 6/3/04 but I only lost 5 over the holidays. I ate alot of 'bad' things, though not near what I normally would have, so I'm sure that was part of my problem.
I too need to get serious about the exercise. I'm just so cold all the time, it seems really counter productive to then go outside in the cold weather!!!!
I just freeze non stop.

yes, I was sorry to find I do not dump on sugar, and I ate some foods that I shouldn't have. I wasn't too hard on myself though, I only ate one piece of candy, not 20 like last year. I had a few M&M's, not handful after handful.
I had 1/2 scoop ice cream, not a heaping bowl full. I'd have one cookie, not 6 or 7........(No, I didn't eat all this in one sitting!!)
I enjoyed the holidays, I tasted most things, but now I'm ready to get back on track. I was losing about 10 lbs a month, but only lost 5 over December. For the first time in YEARS I didn't add my winter 15lbs.
I honestly don't care if I get super model thin or pretty. I feel so much better right now with -92 that even if I stalled out here, at 195# I would be very pleased with my surgery.
We just need to get back on track.
One thing I did through the holidays that really helped me, was I would always sign up to bring the veggie platter. I can eat alot of raw veggies and not get sick from it....so if I brought the platter, I was always sure of something I enjoyed eating that wasn't super bad for my system.

I am with you. I've been stuck at the same 186 pound since Christmas. I'm stepping up my water intake and excersise and 'trying' to watch what I eat more closely.
I'm giving it two more weeks, if it doesn't budge I'm going back to basics for a week. Protien shakes only.....
I really want to get to 130 and that's OK for my 5'3" frame.
I guess we'll have to try it and then see where it goes from there.
Good luck to us both!

Well, I had my surgery on June 1st, 2004and started out at 240. As of today I'm still toying with 169-167. I haven't lost much if any since the middle of December. I have started my exercising and eating right since the holidays..but I'm starting to wonder if any of this weight is going to come off. I'm 5'0 and the docs tell me I'm supposed to be at 118. That's another 60 pounds. I've only lost 70couple. Anyone else having this problem?

Happy 7 months to us all,
I had a great loss right before Christmas because I got the flu and lost a lot of water weight if you get my drift. Thankfully, that weight stayed off although I did not lose another pound until just two days ago. So I am down a total of 138.5.
This surgery was totally worth all of those hoops,
All my best to my fellow June Bugs,
Kathy

My anniversary is this Friday the 14th and so far I've lost a total of 116 pounds. I'm down from 276 to 160 and still have another 30 to lose according to my doctor. But someone came into my office today and told me I already look like the wind could blow me away. Even my husband keeps saying "you're all skin and bones.....it's hard to believe you're going to get even smaller." I think I look good but don't think I'm as tiny as people are saying I am. I've always carried the weight in my legs and until I see skinny legs I won't think I'm thin. But the legs are getting smaller all the time and I hear from the personal trainers at the gym I use that the legs are the hardest place to lose. So far I've lost 11 inches off of each thigh which is incredible. And I've increased my fitness goals to include some running and today for the first time in my LIFE.....I was able to run a mile. It wasn't a fast mile, but I did run it all without stopping. I was so proud of myself. Then I went back to the office and walked up 4 flights of stairs without stopping and without holding onto the railing. I could NOT do either of those things prior to surgery. Life is soooo different now, it's amazing.
Sorry I've rambled on so long. Congrats on your weight loss and we all know we'll keep losing, eventhough if it slows down a bit.

P.S. About considering cosmetic surgery... I believe IF I do choose to have cosmetic surgery (not thrilled about more surgery), it will be for my thighs... and maaaaaaybe my arms... other than that, everything else is covered
