Topic: RE: What is going on?
I can relate -- thanks for posting this. My surgery was 6/22/04 and I have been stuck at the same weight since Christmas also. I have lost 81 pounds and the scale won't move! I like the ideas these others have suggested, maybe even doing the Carnation Instant Breakfast try to kick in a weight loss again. Good luck to you and me! Lois
Topic: RE: 7th month weight in.
I've lost 75 pounds since surgery, June 7th. I have really slowed down, but my surgeon still thinks I'll make the century club. I wear 12s and 14s now.

OH MY GOSH!!! I am NOT alone. I have lost 71 lbs and that's it! I have seriously been thinking I was truly gonna be the exception to the rule and not lose anymore. LOL. I have been getting discouraged and kind of down but hearing you are surrounded by "Been there, experiencing that" people helps to relieve the mind. Stay strong Junies! Steph
Topic: RE: I STOPPED SNORING!!!YAAAAAAY!
I have stopped snoring also. Occasionallyl, I travel with some other ladies and I was told on our last outing that I didn't snore. I guess they were glad, but none of them ever complained before. I'm glad and I know there are so many other good things happening also.

Hi Jamie,
My surgery was on June 14th, I started at 276 and got down to 160. Then there's this period of water retention that I have some months and the scales go UP a few pounds. Yikes!!!! I hate when this happens. I'm 5'3" and supposed to get down to 130 according to my surgeon. I want to see at least 140 on the scales since that would make me a "normal" weight for my height. It's certainly frustrating!
But I went shopping yesterday and that made me feel better. I can wear anywhere between a size 8 and 12 on pants. Tried on lots of clothes. Put on one pair of size 12 jeans, the legs fit tight, the waist was too big and when I looked down I saw a sticker that said "slim fit" on them. I started to laugh. To think I was whining about feeling fat and I was fitting into a "slim fit" jean. Even tried on some short skirts with a zipper that I never would have imagined I could wear and the size 8's fit.
I know we all get into this "numbers" game......me too.....but then I have to look around and realize that I'm now a MINORITY because I'm smaller than many people I see out in public. Let's face it, we look good and just look how far we've come. Look at your before pics and see the difference. Of course I'm saying all of this after spending hours at the gym today. That's all we can do is make the right food choices, drink our water and exercise LOTS.
Good luck,
Terry
Topic: RE: CENTURY CLUB MEMBER!!!!!!
Congratulations on your weight loss Maritza and your upcoming marriage. I don't feel like I will ever make it to that point. I am almost 7 months out and I have only lost 60lbs. I feel like I am doing something wrong but continue to tell myself that everyone lose weight at different paces. I know you will lose the weight that you want to lose by early summer as you have planned.
Just wanted to and share in your excitement.

LeAnn,
Be careful drinking anything with carbonation. I was told by my doctor to stay away from anything with bubbles because it can "stretch" out your pouch.
Best luck,
Terri

I am SSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GLAD that I am not alone!!!
I too have lost 67 since surgery (86 total-I lost 19 before surgery)I know that I have been having a little trouble with snacking, but it has gotten alot better since I started drinking Diet Dr. Pepper. I still have a sweete tooth and the diet pop REALLY helps!! I still have about 25/35 pounds to go.
