So I am not the only one. I have also been dealing with a stall in weight. I didn't lose anything for over a month, now have dropped a couple, but am afraid this will be the end for me. Really frustrating, but glad to know I am not hte only one out there dealing with this issue.
Topic: RE: Weight loss now?!
I'm like you, my weight has stalled. I didn't lose anything for a whole month, couldn't exercise due to hernia and just found out I will not be allowed back in the gym until I am 3 months out from my hernia repair surgery. That basically means I will not be able to do anything but walking until mid april. I am not sure how this is going to affect my ability to lose, but I am sure it is going to impact it. I did manage to lose a couple of pounds in the past week, so I am hoping that will continue. My pcp says it has a lot to do with my metabolism. I always thought it was slow and now I am sure it is otherwise I would be losing faster. Nothing to I can do except keep on following the rules. Good luck on your pregnancy. I am sure you will do well.
Topic: Weight loss now?!
Well I posted about being stuck in the month of December. Since January 5th until the 15th I lost 2 pounds after I uped my exercise.
I then got sick with a bad cold and didnt exercise much this week but got on the scale this morning and have lost another 3 pounds. Also, this week I found out I am pregnant. Is anyone else you had their surgery in June this way...and I just want to get what your surgeon has to say and what steps you are following because my surgeon is doing nothing and the OB i called wont see me until FEB 15th.
SO at all costs to the others on the June board the plateau will stop and just exercise and eat right*S*
thanks for listening
Jamie
Topic: RE: What is your best feeling at this part of the Journey?
To put on a size LARGE top! I think I was 14 the last time I did that!!!
To run into someone who hadn't seen me in a while and watch his shocked face and hear him scream "Holy Sh**!" Tee hee... THAT was funny!
Although, I must say the best feeling was seeing my cholesterol and glucose labs :D

Scottsdale Bariatric Center Albuquerque Visit
Saturday January 22nd ,2005
Dear Scottsdale Bariatric Patient,
We are excited to be coming to Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday, January 22, 2005 to hold a free weight-loss seminar for the public. The seminar will take place from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Old Town Hotel, 800 Rio Grande Blvd NW, in the Potters Room. The purpose of this seminar is to educate potential patients about Bariatric surgery. According to a recent study in The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) weight loss surgery improved or eliminated diabetes, hypertension, obstructive sleep apnea and high cholesterol in morbidly obese patients. We will be available to answer questions they may have to help them determine if surgery is the right option for them. We encourage you to tell any friends or family members that are suffering from morbid obesity to take the first step and attend the seminar.
Please have them contact Dawn, Patient/Physician Liaison at 1-800-504-9567 to register for the free weight-loss surgery seminar.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you,
Dawn Remme, SBC

Topic: 100lbs gone forever!!
As of today, I have lost 100 lbs!! I only have 54 to go before I hit goal. I had someone at work tell me that I looked like half of my former self. It sure feels good to hear all of the positive comments from co-workers and family!!

Hi Ruthann,
I checked your profile and see that this was your second operation -- did you have a revision? And if so, why?
I see also where you wrote you are always hungry and never feel full. Now THAT I can relate to . . .

Topic: 1 year June 2
Hi
just wanted to write and tell you that my surgary was june 2
went to Dr Overcash and have lost 100 pounds so far.
Have had some problems but everything is fine except for a hernia which I hope will be taken care of in 4 or so months
Things have really slowed down for me also but I finally joined curves and hope to be able to lose some more weight and lots of inches
It was nice reading about you all I thought maybe I was far behind in the weight loss department I started out at 300 so I guess I am about average
Thanks for your input It helps a lot
