I go to a place like Curves a 2-5 times a week, depending on my schedule. I also walk on my Mom's treadmill. When I was first post-op, going 2 mph just killed me, for 10 minutes. Yesterday I walked pretty steady at 3.5 mph and even jogged at 4.5 mph (briefly). I did a total of 1 mile in 20 minutes. Pretty impressive for me! I am hoping to be able to do more jogging. I actually like the treadmill pretty good.
Good luck! And great job keeping things up!

Topic: RE: HELP!!! I got the munchies
Hi Alicia,
Man I know that feeling!!! The only thing I can say ... if you can't be "busy" make sure your house is full of good choices... shrimp is so low cal and FULL of protein, grapes, pretzels, strawberries are all great for those hand to mouth needs. As soon as you can get around better you can keep busy and it won't be such a problem. I was on a PLATEAU (wich to me is a 4 letter word!) but I was on one for almost 6 weeks before the scale moved just recently. I thought I was gonna lose my mind. You really are doing AWSOME! Hang in there. Patti, in MI

and the smaller the pants get, the smaller the zipper gets. I was amazed the first time I tried on a regular size low rise jean and the zipper was so tiny I thought "I'll never be able to get into these." But I did.
I had 2 strangers at the gym approach me this week and comment on the weight loss. I was thrilled each time. So I know even strangers are watching, and this time I know they're not looking at me because I'm fat.
Last weekend I went bathing suit shopping because we're going on a cruise next month for our anniversary which is on Valentine's Day. It was very nice to pick out size 8-10 bathing suits and they fit. I see all the loose skin on my thighs and arms, but I still look a whole lot better than before. Bathing suit shopping was actually FUN. Never thought I'd say that.

Topic: HELP!!! I got the munchies
I have the munchies really bad! I want to eat even though I'm NOT hungry. I've tried gum and sugar free candy but nothing seems to help. I'm really concerned because I have hit a plateau and haven't lost any weight in 4 weeks. I just had back surgry last week and so my activities are limited. Does anyone have any ideas??

So far down 122 lbs from my starting weight of 387. I feel I'm doing pretty well. I haven't been as been up on my exercise over the last three weeks but I'm getting back on target as of next week.
Smooches!
