My surgeon says not to count calories since it didn't work in the past and probably won't work now. But I do keep calories in the back of my mind most days. I'd say I average about 1200-1500 calories per day and when I work out I burn off about 400-500 and I do that about 5 days a week. So that means somedays I'm taking in about 800-1000 and other days a bit more. I seem to be maintaining my weight and I'm happy with where I'm at. Hope that helps. Terry Coles 276/120

Thanks for replying Debbie! I am amazed that some days I can actually graze to the point of over 2,000 calories (and then I wonder why I'm stuck? UGH). I have been really strict since New Year's Day about keeping my calories between 1,000 and 1,200 and I dropped 3 lbs. But this weekend I ate more carbs than usual and bounced right back up again with the same 3 lbs. Apparently I am one of those folks *****ally has to limit carbs, period. I put my personal information into the charting tool over at www.thinnerself.com and based on my current height/weight, it's telling me that in order to MAINTAIN my weight I need to take in 1,700 calories daily. So I'm going to stick to basics and try to stay under 1,200 and hopefully take these last 5-10 lbs. off over the next couple of months. I just want that dang scale to read "150" before I die, just once. -BJ 300/161 today UGH/150??
