Changing original goal weight?

Hey Junebugs, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! I'm just wondering how many of you have reached your original goal weight -- only to lower it? As I get closer to my original goal of 150 (I'm 5'6") I'm still feeling FAT and am thinking about going a little bit smaller, say, 140? Which is kind of laughable at this point since I've been toying with the same eight pounds since this summer. Oh well, a girl can dream, right? -BJ 300/164/???

I just kept going until my body stopped losing. My original weight goal was 130. When I saw my surgeon at my one year checkup he said I was all skin and bones and probably wouldn't lose much more, maybe another 5 pounds. He was right. I got to 125 and my body just stopped losing. Then 6 weeks ago I had a tt, thigh lift and belt lipectomy and lost another 4-5 pounds which is still coming off since I'm still swollen. I fought the last 5 pounds (from 135-130) for months before it came off. But I'm stubborn and I'd do hours of exercise to make it happen. I'm also a believer of eating the most amount of protein for the least amount of calories. For me that's ff cheese slices, ff cottage cheese, 40 calorie bread (Nature's Own has one that has 4g of protein), sliced sandwich meats (there are some that only have 25 calories in them) eggbeaters and fruits. Not to say that I don't eat junkfood sometimes because I DO. I don't dump on anything so I do eat what I want, just not all the time. But I didn't do that when I was trying to lose. I'm only 5'3" and think I'll end up around 120 when the swelling goes down from my ps which is fine since people tell me I look like I weigh around 100 pounds. I'm wearing between a size 2 and 4, or I buy clothes in the girls dept so I don't need to get any smaller. Besides now that the loose skin is gone I can see my hip bone. I know my hips aren't going to get any smaller. Well I'll shut up already. Good luck to you. Keep dreaming girl and turn that dream into reality! Terry Coles 276/122

I may have to up mine from 150 to 190....Seems more realistic although I would still be obese. I have been at 214-215 for six weeks. I am sure my body is saying if you cut back on calories and did more exercise maybe I would let you get to 190....I am still dreaming for the 150. Its up to me right? Debbie

Tee hee... I was hoping the post was about changing the goal UP, not down I went all the way down to 170, but gained 5 pounds and have been going back and forth with the same 3 pounds (175-178) for like... ever! Totally, absolutely, undoubtedly my fault! I still want to get to 169 as a short-term goal. I want to be just overweight, not obese. So that's what I'm concentrating on... For my long term/final goal I'd set up originally 135-140, but considering that I have been heavy all my life (yes, ALL my life!) I truly believe 150 (and/or a solid size 10-12, whichever comes first) is a much healthier and attainable/maintainable weight for me... but I know I have to be a good girl and do all the right things if I honestly want to get there... But hey... not that you asked, but even at my present size of 12/14, I'm already absolutely thrilled with my healthier life! That's what matters to me most! Angie

Hi Angie, I was reading your profile and saw where you are trying out NutriSystem meals to jumpstart your loss again -- how is that working out for you?? -BJ 300/158/150???

Well... I lost and have kept off about 5 pounds, but there were quite a few meals I didn't like (or knew I wouldn't like) and had to return, so I've been off Nutrisystem for about two weeks now. I'm kicking it into high gear (by following the rules) for the next two weeks and will update my profile before I go on vacation... Thanks for asking, BTW Angie

thats funny BJ. i am 5'6 and i currently weigh 162. and i don't want to lose anymore. I want to stay around 165-170max. i seem to still be losing even though i don't want to., and you want to and are a stand still. maybe i need to increase my calories.. and you need to decrease yours?.. let me know how that goes for you. i don't even know my calorie intake daily. but i eat pretty much what ever i want, just smaller amounts.

I just can't make up my mind. I still feel flabby, even after my tummy tuck last week. My thighs are jiggly and my arms are flappy LOL. I am happy at my current weight and keep waffling thinking that if I lose any more it will only make my thighs/arms look that much worse? Sigh. If I could just move all the excess back up to where my boobs used to be, I'd be satisfied. LOL -BJ
