HI Everyone! I had my surgery June 8, 2005. I was 260 and 5' 7" the day of surgery. I am now 144 pounds and wearing size 4!! OMG I am SO happy! My dietician says I should not lose any more weight...lol...no one until now has ever told me to stop losing weight! GBP has totally changed my life - I have energy, I run up and down the stairs, I park far away from everything so I can do more walking....I eat when I'm hungry, and am not bingeing anymore....life is sweet.......brooke

Hello to all the 2004 Junebugs! I had surgery on June 18th 2004 . I started at 287 and currently weigh 150 and I am about 5'4" . I wear a size 12 and am very happy about how I look. I would love to get to 135 but will take what I can get. I know if I would exercise more faithfully I would do so much better. It's just tough between soccer games and piano lessons, husband who works 12 hour swing shifts and me teaching full time to find time for "me". Cindy in Ohio

You can do it because you have done the hard part and that was getting enough courage to have the surgery. Good luck to you losing the extra weight you desire.

I started at 280, and I'm stuck at 175... my own fault... 'cause I haven't been behaving much... yup, I admit it. My short term goal is to hit 169 so I can be overweight, not obese... Long term, I'd like to be at around 150, or a size 10/12, which I believe is realistic for me. I'm at a size 12/14 right now. I'm extremely happy to be where I am, seeing where I have come from... but I know I can lose these last 25 pounds if I get my butt in gear! What did the doctor say about the cramping? Sounds like low potassium and/or magnesium, based on some research I'd done on cramps before... Angie
