I posted on here a month ago about not being able to lose any weight -- still no changes. I am one year out as of today. I have gone from 270 to 190 - that's 80 pounds. I'm done to a 14. The problem is that I haven't lost a single pound since JANUARY! Seriously - not a pound. I'm thankful that I haven't gained any weight - but I can't figure out how to get the scale to move. I've adjusted my protein, my calories, my exercise, my water. Nothing. Even trying the South Beach Diet hasn't made any change. Any suggestions would be great!!! Beth

Dear Beth, I can relate. It seems like I lose nothing for almost a month and then suddenly in one week I'll lose 2-3 pounds. It is really slow now, but I think we just got spoiled with all the fast losing at first. I see on the picture page that it took most people 18 months or so to reach their goal weight. Just be patient...it will happen in its own time. Connie

Beth, First of all... Don't panic. You have done very well. Sometimes our bodies go into shock and resists losing those last few pounds. I would try logging EVERYTHING that you eat. I hear Fitday is good for that. (I'm lazy, I just write it down) After I evaluated that, I would try going back to the beginning with the liquids, protein onlys and such that we started with. Whenever I go on a protein only day or two, I lose about 5 pounds immediately. That sometimes jogs the body into behaving. Leslie Sansone's walk away the pounds tapes help a lot too. You can walk 4 miles in one hour IN YOUR LIVING ROOM! I hope some of these help. Ohhh.... here comes the nurse in me. Were you on blood preasure meds? If you were and have been taken off them, sometimes we retain water. That happened to one of my good friends. When she got put back on a low dose, she lost 15 pounds in one week. Congratulations on what you have done so far and best of luck. Hannah

Hey Beth, I am in the same boat as you are. I had lost 80 lbs for my 1 year which was June 9th. I weighed in this morning at 146...I gained 8 lbs. And I already know why...I have went back to emotional eating. What is up with that? Why would i do that. going from 218 and a size 20-22 to a 6-8 and 138lbs. Why>? I just sometimes feel so hungry and I am totally choosing the wrong foods. Not too many things make me sick. I can eat just about anything. You are not alone. I guess what my sister said was true...we all get use to the honeymoon stage...but its a tool and we have to use it the right way. Im talking to myself...not you...(lol) I would take the others advice...your at a plateau and dont give up...keep the water going. Prayers are with you Cherish Louisiana
