I had surgery one year ago and lost 60 pounds but have gained 40 back due to a staple line disruption. Do you think insurance will cover the repair? I am SSSOOOOOO scared.

I don't know much about this, but I'm really sorry this happened to you Now... isn't it your surgeon's responsibility to repair it? Was it due to a faulty surgery?

Angie, Don't feel alone. I din't have a staple line problem. I just didn't lose weight. Or maybe there is a problem. My surgeon didn't order any tests to see what the problem was. Let me know if insurance covers a repair,. I'm seeing a different surgeon about a revision. If it isn''t covered by insurance, then I'm out of luck. Good luck to you! Beth

Lucky me....my surgeon retired about 5 months after he did my surgery and told me not to worry about calling anyone (bariatric surgeon) for atleast 8 months to a year. I am in the process of finding a surgeon to repair the 2 staple line disruptions.
