Maybe you need to exercise more. I workout 5 times a week, sometimes 6 and last week somedays I went twice in one day since I'm working on losing the last 10 pounds. A few times last week I did 2 hours of cardio plus lifted weights, but it worked. I lost another pound and am down to 139 ( I started at 276) my surgery was on June 14th. I lost a good amount in Feb but only lost 4 pounds in March and only a few pounds so far this month, but at least I'm headed in the right direction. It's definately harder now, but I'm determined to make this happen by the time my year anniversary is up in June. I eat around 600 to 800 calories and burn off at least half of that at the gym. Hope you get losing again soon! Good luck. Terry 276/139/130's my goal

Hi Beth, I went through the same thing, but my plateau lasted from December through March, I'd go up and down the same 2 lbs and finally I have started to lose lbs again. During this time I too lost inches though. In January I began exercising 4-6 days a week. I have just started losing again and lost 4 lbs. Hang in there and continue to do the right things, you'll get there. Terri

Thank you so much for your encouraging words! I met with my dietician this afternoon. Newsflash - I need to bump my exercise up! She wants me to try to average 1100 calories a day with 60 grams of protein. She said that Calories = protein, carbs, fat. So if I'm taking care of getting 1100 calories and 60 grams of protein a day, the carbs and fat will work out. I went by the bookstore and bought a walking workout DVD for the days that I just can't get to the gym. So, no excuses! Thanks for the incentive to get to goal by 1 year anniversary. Time to get committed again! Thanks again! Beth

I am in the same boat you are in. I started at 270 and now am 184 and have been stuck since the beginning of March. I feel thinner but the scale seems to be stuck. I am so glad u posted so I could also read the responses saying others have the same problem. I walk a fair amount but will up it and begin, once again to watch very close what I eat.

I started out at 236. 3x shirts and 2x (stretchy pants/skirts). I am at 160 wearing any where between 10 and 14. I have been bouncing between 165 and 160. To be perfectly honest...I don't exercise (can't seem to find the time) and have been "cheating" and know I need to chill if I want to lose anymore. Actually I don't know if losing another 30 lbs suits me. I look like a crack head now!!! I LIKE BEING A LOSER but I want to control my pace a little bit.

Have you tried upping your water as well? I was on a plateau for nearly 2 months but on Monday I started drinking well over 100oz a day (usually about 120oz) and the scale finally moved down 3 lbs yesterday when I weighed in!! I'm sure it'll pick up again, you'll get there! Also remember that you may be burning fat and building muscle (which weighs more than fat) .. keep up the good work! Lisa
