How much can you eat at 10 months out?

I feel like I eat too much at times. I am 5'7 and have gone from 281 to 165 in 10 months. I wear a size 12 now as I did back in college 11 years ago. I do not think I will lose too much more. I have alot of skin around my stomach so the last 10-15 lbs I have to lose will have to be lost with a tummy tuck. Anyway, when I am at work I eat better than when I sit at home. Generally, I eat 2 small breakfast quiches or dobie muffins (the recipes are under the cooking and baking section) for breakfast. Lunch is probably a frozen lean cuisine dinner, if I go out for lunch(which I do 1-2 times a week) it might be a $1 menu salad from Mc Donald's with $1 chicken sandwhich ( I remove the bread and then cut it up and add it to the salad) or a cup of chili, or 1/2 a 6 inch turkey sub from subway, for snack a 1/4 cup nuts or trail mix and for dinner some kind of meat like baked chicken and a few veggies. If I am hungry after dinner I may have a protein shake, NSA vanilla icecream with 1/2 cup flat A&W diet rootbeer and protein powder or a cup of carbcountdown milk with NSA Nestle quick. What do you think??? How much do you eat at 10 months out? I must admit some days are better than others. I do dump when I have too much sugar or carbs so I try to monitor my carbs and sugar levels, but I can eat mostly anything in moderation. When I eat out I eat far less than when I eat alone. The slower I eat the faster I get full. The quicker I eat the more I eat. Does that make sense?I am sometimes hungry within 3 hours after I eat. Head hunger is annoying. I am just a little worried because I know a few people who have gained back their weight a few years out and I don't want that to happen to me. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Hi T.J. I understand exactly what you mean! I too worry about gaining it back. I went from 272 wearing a size 22 jeans and 24/26 top to a size 2 or a 4 depending on the cut. I weigh nore, but I'm a smaller size than I was in High School! Lot of tummy skin though. My eating has been all over the place. I still don't drink with meals and recently measured my bowl of chili the other night because it looked like so much. It was 3/4 of a cup. I got almost too full with it. I can eat almost a whole grilled cheese sandwich, a whole chicken drumstick. 3 egg yolks over easy and 2 sausage links, etc. When I eat at home, I eat less than I do when we go out to eat. The last three days I ate constantly (every 3 hours and sometimes sooner) I just thought I was famished but then the good ol' period showed up and now I'm back to being full from a tiny bunch of grapes. Like you, when I eat fast, I eat more and when I slow down I notice when I'm full and stop. I've started writing down what I'm eating and what time just to see how many calories I'm putting away. It's averaging around 900-1200. I notice I eat more at night too. Do you still dump? I find that I get sooooooo sleepy when I have sugar. No real dumping like in the beginning, just a sugar coma/hangover. Hope some of my rambling helps. I'm curious too. Hannah

I am 5'10 started around 300 and now weigh 176. I went from a size 24 jeans to size 10. I still want to lose 25 more pounds. I can eat very little and struggle everyday with eating something that makes me sick as a dog. Carbs, sugar, fat all make me dump. Eating to fast makes me vomit. 1/2 scrambled egg 1cup of salad, 1/2 if I add meat 1/4 grilled cheese and I start feeling yucky 1/2 of a lean cuisine..most of the time I just eat the meat in there 3-4 bites of a subway sub

Boy all I can say is ditto ditto ditto!!! I think I eat alot more now than before / months ago/ not before surgery!!! but, if you think of what we ate before I guess we're eating probably what they would call a "normal" portion.. we aren't really used to a normal portion!! We're used to gigantic or peanut portions. Not normal portions.. I don't want to gain..HELL NO!!!!!!! I think if I start I'll freak out and stop eating..lol... I think we're all doing great. Keep up the great work. Mary
