well it's 10 month's how are you doing?
Hello junebug's, How's everyone doing weight wise and change wise....??
I'm doing great. I have lost 110 lbs and went from a 24/3X to a 12/large
I have much more energy and have done things in the past months that I would never, never have ever done before. Went to boston to a WLS gathering and walking/walking/ walking. up hills, across 8 lanes of highway.. ect ect.. I feel so much better about myself and am so glad I took this root. otherwise I feel that I would be even bigger than before and even more miserable that ever.. thank God for this tool.
Happy April everyone.
Mary

* 4 lbs to go to be "normal" weight!!!!!
I officially hit my 10 month anniversary tomorrow. I've lost 136 pounds. Started at 276 and I'm down to 140. Went from a tight size 24 pants to size 4's and 6's, and small or extra small tops. As of now I'm a "normal" size.....I'm not even overweight anymore according to a weight chart. I have 10 more pounds to lose to reach my goal of 130 which was given to me by my doctor. I can't believe how my life has changed! EVERYTHING has changed. I feel wonderful! To think that a lifetime of struggling with obesity is over in less than a year.
I've worked hard for every pound lost. I workout about an hour and a half 6 days a week......45 minutes of hard cardio and 45 minutes of strength training. Today I went to the gym twice and did a total of an hour and a half of cardio plus weights. I'm getting worried that my 12 months is up in June and I have another 10 pounds to lose. Failure was never an option in this journey! And I know I'll reach my goal. Not that weighing 140 is a bad thing, nor is fitting into size 6's and some 4's. But I have a number stuck in my head and I plan to see it sometime soon when I'm standing on the scale.
I truly NEVER thought I'd be this tiny....as people tell me I am. But I still see the big thighs and hips when I look in the mirror, eventhough I know I look good....but don't think I'm "tiny." I literally have to stand in front of the mirror on days when I think I look fat and say to myself, "these pants are a size 4 and that's a tiny size.....you're not fat." I wear scrubs to work and went from a size XXX to EXTRA SMALL......yep, who'd have thought I'd be wearing an extra small someday. Surely not me!
It's been an incredible journey and I thank God and my surgeon everyday for giving me this incredible tool and this new life.
Looking forward to reading how everyone's doing.

276/140/130's my goal
It was 10 months on the 8th for me also. I've lost 80 lbs and went from a 2x to a size 10/medium. I've never felt better! I still am working on those last 20 lbs however. My doctor told me my body would fight me all the way down and it has. These last 20 lbs are being stubborn, but I'm going to keep on working my tool and I will succeed eventually! I think back to where I was 10 months ago and I feel so grateful for everything this surgery has done for me. I am nowhere near the same woman I was. Inside and out....
Congratulations to all of us Junebugs! We are all doing great!!

Congratulations US!
Monday made it 10 months for me and BOY HAS MY LIFE CHANGED! I have lost 90 pounds since June, and 146 pounds TOTAL!!!!!! I now weigh 126 which is 4 pounds away from 100% excess weight lost!
I now wear a size 2 or a children's 14. Isn't that a hoot?!! Who would have thought it possible when just a few months ago, I was 272 pounds in a size 22/24? Funny how I had trouble finding clothes when I was MO and now I have trouble finding "grown-up" clothes.
My iron was dangerously low because I was taking the wrong one. I just thought I was run down and depressed but now that I am on the right iron, I'm bouncing around again like a hyperactive madwoman.
I am so proud of us all!

Hi, Junebugs! It will be my 10 month anniversary on the 21st. This HAS been the most amazing journey! I have gone from a 22W to size 12 in jeans.(No, I still have the booty!) From a 2X top to medium. Even my shoe size has shrunk! From 7 1/2 W to a 6. I go everywhere and don't feel self -conscious, I sometimes even feel SUPER confident! I feel younger, more energetic & healthier. I LOVE my life!! We are awesome! Keep rockin' people! Don't forget to take the time to update- I love to read about everybody's progress!

Hi all you Junebugs...My 10th anniversary will be on the 30th.So far I have lost a total of 146 pounds, starting out at 288 and down to 142....
and loving it all the way..I was in a size 22W jeans and a 46 top. Now am down to a size 8 jeans and med-lg top....If someone had told me 10 months ago I would be this size I would have laughed right in their face.
And said "No Way!" I feel so much better today and don't feel like everyone is looking at me. The other day a friend, who had not seen me in a month of Sundays, told me I even looked much younger (I'm 50). So for me this tool has worked wonders for me. If asked, Would I do it all again, you all know what the answer would be....YES!!!!!!
We must all keep up the good work. Don't forget to post before and after pictures....I love to look where we all were.

I am very grateful for being able to had done this process and meet so many wonderful people. It has been all good for me! Hope next month to be able to say I am closer to that 200 lbs goal!
