Gallbladder & Other Complications?!?
I had to get my gallbladder taken out when I was just over 3 months post op,,, I started out having severe lower abdominal pains that would last for about 24 hrs,, I would lay in bed on my stomach all day,, thank god I work from home!... anyways this pain was on and off. I didnt go to the ER, dunno why,, I dont like spending the money on myself,,, stupid, I know... anyways then sometimes nausea would come on, just randomly,, then I started getting a sharp pain in my right side in my back that shot to the front, that would make me feel nausous and tired and usually went away after a hour nap,, finally I went to the dr, he sent me for a ultrasound, and I had gallstones,,, so a week late I had it yanked out, that surgery was no big deal,, my dr left me with the choice to get it removed now or take actigal and hope that it goes away on its own,, but if I took the medicine and had a gallbladder attack,, I could be in the er with an emergency gallbladder removal and would have to get cut instead of having it ahead of time laproscopicaly,,, so I had my taken out and have been great ever since,,,,, Only other complication I get is occasional consitpation,, I drink this tea called smooth move wehn I get like that, then the next morning I have a b/m.....

Hi,
I have kidney stones very bad. My friend who had the surgery 1 day before me also has them. We used the same surgon & his office told us that Kidney stones are very common is WLS patients. Other than that I've been pretty good.
