Hey June Bugs! Is anyone out there losing their hair? I have noticed more hair loss since surgery, and have increased my protein intake to about 80 grams per day...should it be more? What ideas do you have to help us keep our hair? Thanks to all of you *****plied to my prior post about your weight-loss accomplishments...it's nice to know that we're all at about the same place. Hi Faye . . . I'm not losing hair yet . . . but I am petrified about this. I bought some Biotin from the Vitamin Shoppe and have been taking two of the 5mg pills each day. Also, some people in my local support group swear by Nioxin shampoo, but I don't know where to purchase it yet. -BJ

Hair loss is awful. I started losing my hair about 2 weeks ago. My surgeon told me that it is perfectly normal after Gastric Bypass Surgery for this to happen. He said that it will not last long, and when my hair grows back in, it will be much thicker and have a great shine. It really does suck, but my life has changed so much in the past 2 months that it's totally worth it. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I just keep thinking about how lucky I am. Down over 65 pounds in 2 months... it could be much worse. After I put everything into perspective, a little hair loss doesn't seem so bad. - Jackie

Hi Faye, I've been losing my hair for quite a while but I'm not worried. I might cut it short but I'm undecided so far. I am going to up my protein and hope it helps. The 50 pound loss and size 12 clothes is consolation in my book. H
