Great it sounds like I'm on track.
My surgery was on June 7th and I'm down 37lbs so after hearing from all of you it sounds like I'm on track.
Is anyone afraid because it seems like you are eating more food. Or things you wonder if you should be able to eat. I'm still scared to eat. Now I worry, that I am eating small amounts of mostly what I want, that I will quit losing weight. I'm trying new foods and than feel guilty.
I do drink lots of water. I have some trouble getting enough protein.
Yes you are on the right track. And yes i do feel the way you do. As a matter of fact I hit a stall for 3 weeks already. I was a nervous wreck..weighing every day sometimes twice a day to see if it would change. Finally it moved. I am 8 weeks post op and down 37 lbs. I am very happy with that. I do tend to eat everything...carefully with bread, I usually toast it.
I figured that I will try to get in as much protein as possible...when I started that and upped my water...the weight started to move again.
Good luck to you and God Bless

I think you are on track too, from what I'm finding anyway. I'm down 46 lbs, and it seemed really slow to me, because I kept meeting people who were losing 20 lbs a month.....and I felt like such a failure.....but the more I research this, and the more I understand this, our goal is an AVERAGE of 10 lbs a month......so you are ahead of the game.....
I hit plateaus very frequently, and that really upsets me. I find that if I up my protien shakes I can usually break past the plateau, but then I will slip back into my low protien pattern......so I am still making new habits.
I'm a carb addict and I have to really control how much I eat or I totally quit losing.
Food I find easy to eat are soups, veggies, some fruit, rye crisp, wheat thins, smoked salmon, canned oysters, tuna, egg salad. I can't hardly do meat of any kind. It just makes my pouch so uncomfortable within 2 bites and my meal is over.
Best to you! Tracey
