Am I the only tired one out there?

I know what you mean about those shakes. I am forcing as much as I can down, but it seems to be less and less. They do seem to make me feel better when I can get some down. I am leaning towards the softer foods like yogurt. The heavy stuff makes me feel so bad. I am waiting on it to improve. I hope I wake up in the morning and have a big giant burst! Good luck! 343 / 295 Down almost 50 lbs...

count me in I get tired all the time. I think I need a nap at least 2-3times a day. The Dr said it will last for about 2-3 months

I was very tired for the first 6 weeks, then it started to get better. I was really hating life. Try the Fuzzy Naval Protein drink it is very good. I couldn't do the choc or vanilla any more. Now when I get tired I try to drink more water and it does seem to help. I also had to push my self to get up and get dressed and now it's no problem (8 weeks postop). Good luck, Deb

I'm with you...our surgery dates are the same too. I was fine for week 2-4 but this past week has been the pits. I gag at the thought of food. I can eat about 3 small bites and then up it comes. I'm sick of fruity drinks and water is tough to gag down. I'm exhausted after climbing up the basement stairs. I hope this doesn't last long. I stand and get very dizzy. I'm struggling to get protein in. I'm drinking at least 1 drink a day and that's a challenge. My ears ring and I'm slow moving...

No, you're not alone. I had my open RNY on 6/7/04 ( 8 weeks out) and have my days of feeling really "draggy". I usually try to get more protein in on those days, which seems to help. Also, since i've started walking daily and going to Curves, I do have more energy, so I think any activity helps build up your energy level and stamina. Just keep your head up and keep that body moving.

OMG I am so tired! I am 6 wks post op and went back to work this week. Several days I had to leave early and go home to sleep. If I last the whole day I am in bed by 8 or 9 and often take a nap when I get home. All of a sudden I have the dark circles under the eyes & never had that before. Today is Friday and I do feel better than I did on Mon so it must be getting better. My surgeon said you won't get your energy levels back for 3-4 months. I am trying realy hard with the protein and the fluids but I am too tired to exercise. By the time I deal with kids and dogs, work and everyday living, I don't have the energy. I am hoping the energy will come back enough that I can start exercising. Susan P.S. Just writing this message has worn me out. I may have to go home now! LOL
