9 days out

Hi! Well, I've been home since Monday, 6/28. Surgery on the 23rd went smoothly, except for a realllllyyy long post op recovery period. They had to keep poking me to wake up and breathe. Maybe I have had problems with sleep apnea that I knew nothing about until then. I know I always had a hard time coming out of general anesthesia. Anyway. still on liquids until tomorrow. I never though yogurt would sound soooo good. have to keep sipping the fluids, because nothing stays in my stomach for long. have an appt on 7/12 at Kaiser Pt West for all you kaiser people who had their surgeries the beginning of last week. Hope to see some of you there.

Hi Carolyn, sounds like you are doing great. I can't keep any fluids down for long, keep barfing. had to go to er for hydration, sigh, thought i'd be one of the 'right up and about types', but alas, not so. Keep up the good work..cathy lap rny 6/25/04
