After 8 years! I got a date! YeeHaw!

I finally got a date! It actually went pretty fast after submitting to insurance! I am on cloud 9! Let me tell you! After finding out about this surgery 8 years ago I have coveted the procedure...no insurance companies would take me though as I was a risk...well, through a fluke of my hubby going out on his own job wise, we got through medicaid ...hey, I am milking this for everything it is worth! So medicaid after 14 months altogether now, has approved my surgery and I finally have a date. I do not have much family so I only got to tell a couple of people but I am so excited I had to tell more. LOL Who better than those who understand my excitement! Congratulations, Monica!! I went yesterday for my pre-op tests and my surgery is June 10th--coming fast. I just started this the first of 2004 and I can't imagine waiting 8 years to get it accomplished. Wishing you all the best with your surgery and recovery. Here's to being big losers!! Diana

Congratulations Monica , I had to wait 2 yrs to get everything straight to have my surgery and now it is this upcoming Monday the 7th of June. I can't imagine waiting 8 yrs. Bless you and good luck. See you on the losers side.

I couldn't imagine 8 years!!! WOW! I know that you will do so well! If you have the patiance to wait that long, you will be so determind to do this. I feel a little guilty. From my first imformation meeting to my surgery date, It will only be 4 months and 13 days. I really feel blessed though. Things in my life have really been hard for the last few years, and now I feel that things are FINALLY truning around. LeAnn
