What is it like the day after surgery?

I would like to know what you feel like the day after surgery. Are you hungry, thirsty, can you get up out of bed easily? I am having an open RNY and I am worried about these things. Its hard for me to imagine nothing to eat or drink for two days. I know the day of surgery I will be out of it but the next day what is it like.
