Hi all. I just wanted to introduce myself. Im Jessica, a sahm from MA. I got my second surgery date of June 21st...my first date was in March but due to unforeseen cir****tances in the form of Versaid, I panicked and backed out of surgery. I cant wait to get to know my month buddies.

OH yea.. time is FLYING by... Im so excited. Does your surgeon have you on any weight loss plan for before surgery? Mine wants me to lose 25lbs and its SOOOO hard sticking with a plan.

I'm been doing the low-carb thing since October. Give it a try. I've lost about 70 lbs. It takes some getting used to, but its not too hard.

I am also right behind you on the 24th. Be sure to let us know how you are doing. I am hoping to have mine done as an outpatient so will perhaps post that night. Yippee for us!!

Hi Jessica, My name is Amanda and i am haveing Open RNY on June 30th. I am also a SAHM . I can totally understand why you backed out , this is a huge scary descion expecially for us mommies( not to say it isnt for anyone else , dont wanna effend anyone ) But i am leaveing it in God's hands and i know everything will turn out just fine. Hi Jessica! I am having surgery on the same day as you, and I am also from MA. What hospital are you going to? I am going to Mass General in Boston. I am not on a weight loss plan, thankfully. I don't think I could stick with it. Deciding to have this WLS is a big decision. Having doubts goes with the territory. I've had the same doubts - But we're all going through this together now.... We can support each other - JJ

Hi Jessica!!! Congrats on your new date. I'm a SAHM from VA and my date is June 2nd. My doctors did not put me on a diet but I have joined the gym and am exercising 4 times a week. Hopefully it will help my recovery a bit to get in a little better shape before surgery. ttys, Tasha

Hi Jessica, My name is Rose I live in New Jersey and my surgery date is June 7th. I have also panicked, but come to this sight often they really help you through those times when you want to back out. I an now counting the days to my surgery. Can't wait to be on the losing side, "Don't Panic" All will go well you will have a smooth surgery and a excellent recovery. Hugs to you Rose
