Mine is scheduled for June 9th also. At Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge MD. I have waited so long for this, now less than three weeks to go, I can not believe it.

You are going to be fine. You and your son will be able to celebrate your birthdays together. You are right this is the best birthday present you can give him. Sounds like you surgeon is very experienced. I am having my surgery on the 13th with Dr. Kuhn in Dallas.

I just got my surgery date!!! It is Friday, June 13th. I just realized that it is Friday the 13th. Oh well. I am having my surgery at Baylor in Dallas, TX. I am so ready to stary my new life. I can't wait. Congratulations to all of you who have surgery dates in June.

My name is Linda Smith and I, too, am having my surgery on June 9th. Don't
know about you but I am excited and scared at the same time. Mine will be
done at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. I've been through six
months of tests, classes, etc and I am so ready to get it behind me now. I
go in and look at before and after photo's every day and that helps me to
know I am doing the right thing. Drop me a line and maybe we can stay in
touch those first weeks after surgery and support each other. Much luck

I have 20 days and I will be on the loser's side, and I can't wait. I just wish I could move it closer and get it done. This has been a blessing, and I thank God for it. I live in Hopkins, MN and my surgeon is Dr. Raymond Drew out of Minneapolis.

My name is Donna Ciancio and I live in Arlington, Texas. I am scheduled to have surgery on June 24th!! I guess we not only live close to each other, our surgeries are also right by each others!! Where are you having surgery? I am going to Little Rock, Arkansas to St. Vincent Bariatric Center. Wanted to go to BTC in Wylie but my insurance denied me so have to self pay. Hope to hear from you, I could use all the support I can get!! By the way, I am 39 years old, married, have an 8 year old son (my surgery will be on his 9th birthday), I am currently 310 pounds, 5"3" tall with a BMI of 55. I am hoping to lose 180 pounds. We have lived here in South Arlington for almost 8 years.

I am not sure how I feel about having the surgery on my son's birthday for obvious reasons. Part of me feels like it is the best gift I can give him and the other part of me worries that something bad will forever ruin that day for him. I cannot change the date, my Dr. only does surgery on Tuesdays and he is booked. I will be driving from Arlington, Texas to Little Rock, Arkansas. My Dr. is Dr. Kerry Ozment. He has done like 8000 of these surgeries. I feel very trusting of him doing the surgery. My insurance company denied coverage, so I am self paying. I am hoping and praying that everything will go just fine so that every year from here on out, my son and I will both be able to celebrate June 24th as a "birth"day!
