I think for most of us it happens at some point as the reality hits us that it really is happening to us. I'm home now one week post op already feeling better than I did pre-op even though I still have some pain. It's just so much easier to just breathe. I found this site many months ago but I still freaked big time. I had to just keep putting one foot in front of the other and move forward knowing I could change my mind at any time until I was asleep in the operating room. Patricia

Yeah, I freaked out a little, too, and cleaned my house. I guess that's one good side effect of the surgery, huh. Keep a positive attitude, folks. This is do-able, and you will feel better on the other side. Hang strong. Marty (2 days post op and home at last!)

Karyn, Good luck - we will all be thinking of you and certainly all these prayers will help! My surgery is scheduled for 6/23 so you are a few days ahead of me. You will probably be going home as I am going "under". I agree, sometimes too much information is worse then not enough! I am finding myself getting overwhelmed at times. I try to read as much as I can - figures now I have run into some of the nightmare stories - just what I don't need. Keep your chin up - in a few months we will look back on this and.........be glad it is over!! LOL Char
