hey Char ... I'm in Chicago ... my day is 2 days away (Wednesday June 18) ... I'm feeling very overwhelmed right now ... I appreciate the kind words everyone has sent me, but it still hasn't taken the edge off. I'm trying to "not think much about it" ... or as Nike says: "Just do it" ... otherwise I'm just getting myself all worked up. I wish you well, hope you're not freakin out as much as me ... maybe we can hook up sometime and compare notes. In the meantime, may God guide and comfort us through all we do.

Jamie, please put God first, and know that everything else follows. He won't give you more than you can bear. You still have time to heal before the surgery, at least these problems did not come on you 1 or 2 days prior to surgery. Strep throat affects people in many different forms. When I had it, it took almost 2 weeks before I felt normal. Try taking some vitamin C to help build up you immune system. I like the chewable ones. I have you in my prayers. God Bless. Topic: 2 days post op-question

I got home today and immediately headed for the bathroom. At the hospital they kept asking if I had any gas to pass and I didn't...but as soon as I got home, I had gas and a whole lot more! So far I've gone to the bathroom twice--exactly the same as it was after the bowel prep. I called the coordinator but don't expect to hear from her until tomorrow. Is it normal to have runny poops right after surgery? Thanks, you can email me at [email protected]
