My sugery date was 6/11. I am going through those first few weeks, which I think will be the toughest. I am waiting to get on the scale until Wed, which will be one week since surgery. Hope I do as well as you. Keep me posted, thanks for sharing your experience with me.

Yes, very normal during my first week. I averaged 3-5 daily. Not meaning to be gross but I had my first solid BM this morning and it had been 3 days since any movement at all. I had my surgery on June 4th and still feeling a little sore. Good luck.

I am 7 days post-op and this is normal the doctor says--it has alleviated now today--more walking and I went to class for four hours--use amodium ad chewables 2x after each bm also gas x chewables will be your friend--- jill knapp

My surgery is this Friday. I've had so much nervous energy that I've actually been cleaning, which is unheard of in my house! My prayers go out to you! I've never had surgery before and so I've been trying to keep busy, so I don't dwell on it. I went through a lot of testing, and am surprised at all the medications I have to take before surgery! I try to think about the future and how great it is going to be when we get there! I'm letting my family worry about the details! I don't even know how long the surgery is! Judy

I've been having lower abdominal pains for weeks. Stayed in ER for 12 hours, and then they sent me home. I was off work for a week. They didn't know what it was, but put me on 3 different types of antibiotics! My surgeon says it is probably appendicitis and he is going to take that out anyways. Just had to be off flagyl 10 days prior to surgery. My surgery is on this Friday. I said, "okay." I'll find out through a biopsy if it was in fact my appendix. My prayers go out to you!
