Im not sure as to whether or not I need an Angel??? My BPD DS has now been moved from July 7 to June 23 and I am scared now more than ever, but so happy!! I would just be happy for someone to say a prayer for me and my family to help us get through the trying times ahead!! Thank You!!!!

I am 2 weeks post op and I too found myself asking the same questions at 1 week, the food does seem to haunt you. I am happy to tell you that once I began on the second phase of eating (cottage cheese, yogurt, etc) the food hauntings eased. It seemed I was hungry about every 2 hours, so I asked my daughter (who had the surgery in Dec 02) if that seemed extreme, and she said it sounded about right to her.

hey Patricia ... my "day" is tomorrow (June 18), and yesterday, I was feeling SOOOO overwhelmed, I thought my head was going to explode. During the past week or two, I've been up throughout the night most nights. I'm feeling a little better, more grounded this morning ... I'm trying not to think too much about it at all, cause when I do, I feel like I'm going to throw-up and cry (it doesn't help that I just got my period too!) Anyway, I'm trying to put Nike's slogan to use, "Just Do It". Take care, may God comfort and guide us.

Surgery is a major deal - especially when it is life changing! This is a change for the better. I'm still in the beginning stages, and every once in a while I get scared also - I can't imagine when it'll be close for me too! Take a deep breath and get a good nights sleep. God is watching over you!

WELL TOMORROW IS PREOP DAY AT SHELBY BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTER.THEN THE 24TH SURGERY I HAVE TO TELL ALL OF YOU I AM GETTING SCARED HERE.HELP IS THIS NORMAL?

My worries the last days before the surgery, was how bad would the pain be. I must say I have seen pain but very managemable. My surgery was 6/11. Good luck and God Bless.
Topic: Am I eating too much?
I am one week from surgery. I have been following the suggested meals (if you can call them that);sometimes it sees like all I am doing is eating. The smell of real food is still calling my name. I keep telling myself to give it a little time and will be able to eat real food (something to bite into). Have any of you had this problem? Also my incision is weeping a lot. I called the surgeons office and he says it is fine as long as it it not thick or smells. Wanted to know if you too have had this problem. How long does it last? Thanks to all!!
