Hi everyone, Surgery (Open RNY) was last Friday afternoon. I got home Monday AM. Zero complications. No vomiting. Pain is very bearable (in fact, still don't have my presciption pain killer because we cant find a pharmacy that carries liquid Roxicet). Will be able to get it today. Just been taking Tylenol liquid at night to help get comfortable for sleep. Sleeping in the Lazyboy because I keep slipping down in the bed for now. It's Wednesday and I'm walking on the road twice a day (up the block and back). Concentrating on protein (real meals and carnation instant breakfast ) and water. I had my pre-surgical visit with Dr. Gersin last Thurs. My date of surgery has been postponed. He thinks I am too high risk to do by himself. So now he has to coordinate a date for surgery with another surgeon. I sure hope it is not too long. I am afraid I will get cold feet.

Well friends I cannot belive I had my last BIG meal tonight. Steak...I savored every bite. In one hour I go on my all clear liquid diet. So I will be having chicken broth, jello and popsicles to eat for the next two days. I can't believe my big day is almost here. I can still remember when I was post that I still had like 60 something days until surgery. I am so glad it is over. Did anyone ever have to take a break from OH? I had to twice because I was on here all the time and time was just dragging...lol Now I can't believe my sugery is this Friday! Wow! **Doing the happy dance** In one hour I can say that I am like 1 day and a wake up!!!! Woo Hoo. Good Luck everyone!!!!

Hi Carol I know what you mean about the suggested meals. Today for the first time I had some cream of chicken soup it tasted great. No problems. Also this is the first day I did not have diarrhea so that was a blessing. You would be having your week follow up visit soon and will probably move to the next stage. YES THE FOOD IS CALLING ME TOO!!! Hang in there. Lori
