Wow how exciting this is! 7 more days till surgery! Thank you so much every one for your support and love and lots of prayers! You all have been wonderful! I love you all and see ya back home the 5 of July!!

Topic: Lisa Eklove surgery
After 10 days in the hospital Lisa Eklove is getting much better! I went to visit her at the hospital last night and she is getting the color back in her checks. I was able to talk her into walking with me. Dr. Cahill has clamped her drain off and things seem to be working normally. She had her first meal today. You know the great popsicle meal? It looks like she will be coming home Saturday. Mariellen (Mary to her friends) Markunas has been wonderful! She is another patient of Dr. Cahills who has been reading Lisa's comments. She emailed me and asked if Lisa would like company. Lisa has been so lonely I said yes. Mary has been at the hospital everyday since, visiting Lisa. Mary has such a bubbly personality you can't help but be happy around her. She has really been cheering Lisa up. Diana Hall another of Dr. Cahills patients also went up to see Lisa. Diana also made Lisa a little happier. Thanks Diana and Mary! Nether of these ladies knew Lisa. They are just very kind. Don't we have a great AMOS family! I took Lisa her comment card yesterday. She is so surprised at the kindest of everyone. Thanks for all your prayers they worked! -- Myra Stuart

My LapRNY was also on Friday the 13th. I came home on the morning of the 15 and I felt great!! The only thing that I packed that I used in the hospital were my own pillows from home. I get to try an egg tomorrow morning after nine days of broth, jello and water and boy howdy I am SO excited! For the last two days I have been very tired and weak, but today I added some protein mix to my broth and have felt a little better. My doctor doesn't suggest protein shakes or supplements, but I knew I had to do it. I was feeling lightheaded, fuzzy and almost drunk all the time. Anyway, I look forward to starting a regular diet on Saturday. Good luck everybody!

On my profile page there is now a "link" (you have to copy and paste it though, I dont know how to do clickable links) to a local TV station WTVG 13ABC News in Toledo that originally aired a story on my struggle with the Ins. company to get Approval for surgery. The clip is about 1 Min. and 30 Sec. and features my wife and I and you can see the top of my 4 mos. old baby in the stroller between us, my other 2 children were staying with their aunt. This was an update to an earlier aired story a few months back. There is a little footage in it from the old story. Hope You Enjoy!! LOL Now you get a voice with my beautiful face!!! LOL HAHA P.S. If someone could tell me how to do a link onto my page it would be much appreciated!!

I too am having my surgery on June 30th, 7am glad I'm my doctors first patient, so I can get it over with, and on with my new adventure in living..
I pray all of us that under take this procedure, do well and get the results we hope for..
