I am also scheduled for Monday the 30th. I am really excited!! Looking forward to being on the other side.

Week one is tough, but week two is better. I just finished week 3 and the future is looking better than ever. One day at a time and you will make it though. A lot of stuff you need to learn about your new body and how it works. Keep remembering why you choose to have surgery. Hang in there and good luck.

Hi Jessica well we start our new lives on the same day..I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all the lucke in the world...And to let you know you are on my prayer list with few others who are starting their new lives on that date...We will all be fine. hi everyone, this is joanns mom, i am not sure i am at right site. she wanted me to post message for her support group. as you prob. know her surgery was for 6/25/03. she was to be at syracuse hosp. for 9:45 am, surgery was set for 11:45. well, dr came in and said i am sorry i forgot the residents would be leaving upon their graduations so my laproscopy team is not here. i can do "open" surgery or we can rescedule for 2 wks to a month down the road. with me here now for the kids she elected to go for it. ok, now we wait, finally at 2 pm she was taken in to OR. seems an orthropedic operation took longer and then an emergency surgery came in. can you believe they have 12 OR's upstairs and 4 down and they were all full!!!! however, 2 hrs and one half later she was in recovery, for 2 hrs. i finally got to see her about 6:30 pm. she let me go after 45 mins. 1 1/2 hrs to her house. when the dr came to see me he said he did not take her gall bladder, was not diseased, and did not biopsy her liver. (he studies liver/obesity and she had given permission) her room number is 5124 at syracuse hosp. the number there is 315-464-9477.

3 weeks post op and lost 27 pounds..I was soo thrilled..TO God Be the Glory... I thank Dr.Dewitt soo much for being a good surgeon and a wonderful man..bedside service is great....
