Topic: my surgeon
Todd McCarty, MD, should have besides his name angel at large. Actually he and his team (their names fade in and out0 were so grand. I was nervous the morning of the surgery, and when I get nervous I cut up and say silly things, even if I am not under the influence of relaxers or pain killers. After the surgery at Baylor hospital of Dallas, I had the best of care. Dagna was my day nurse and Mary the tech. were so caring. Thank you a..

Topic: 4 weeks post op and having my first bout with tummy issues
Hi all, I'm 4 weeks post op/open RNY and beginning to introduce solid foods. I'm having problems with throwing up mucus and frothy saliva afterwards but rarely ever any of the food. I'm eating slowly and chewing at least 25 times as dr suggested, I eat the foods suggested by the nutritionist and I make sure to measure. I don't have a clue what I'm doing wrong. I do notice that this happens mostly after lunch and supper. I walk 30-60 5 times a week and I think I have reached a plateau, but I have lost 30 lbs since 6/4 but nothing in the past week. Is anyone else having the same tummy problem? Thanks in advance.

Hey, I didn't know this was going to be this easy. I have absolutely no pain from the surgery; in fact Dr. Cirangle fix some scar tissue from an old surgery and I got my belly button back. Perhaps is just because Dr. Cirangle is so good. I'm doing what they said to do and have had no problems exercising, drinking what I need to, and getting enough protein. I have a checkup 7/7 so I'll see if I've lost any weight then.

Topic: RE: Im still waiting to hear from dr. magnusons office regarding next intructions
Dear Ebony, You need to talk to someone in Mr. Magnuson's office and see if there is someone that work's in his office that writes the letter to the insurance for approval. If there is someone who does that, you need to get them to write the letter for you. Since that is what they do for a living, they are the best at it. May God bless and keep you, Ivi

Hi!! This is Patricia's Husband, Sam. I just wanted to let everyone know that Patty's surgery went very well. She came through it with flying colors. She is resting now and still groggy from the anesthesia. They will be doing some more testing to make sure that everything is healing ok tomorrow. If everything goes according to plan Patty will be coming home on wed. or early thursday morning. Well take care everyone and thanks for all the help you have given us!! Sam

I seem to have good luck with cheeses, tuna (with low fat mayo), shrimp, and tilapia. I just started being able to tolerate eggs, and I can't handle chicken no matter how it's cooked. I also enjoy mandarin oranges. Cream of wheat with lots of milk works well, too. I had surgery the same day you did. My doctor didn't make me eat a liquid diet, although I ate mostly really soft foods at first.
