My surgeon said since I had lost over what the surgery was expected to do for me, that I could have mine anytime now. I weighed 368 last June and now May am at 199. My hernia doesn't hurt, unless I lift something heavy. But it does look like I am pregnant. So I know what you mean....Write me back. Janie

That is awesome.....I had my surgery the same day and my original goal was single digit clothing and I had met that by Christmas so I had to set a new one and it was 135. I have now almost lost as much as I weigh and I am inspired that you have already reached your goal by one year. Congrats.......

That is awesome I had surgery on June 2 2003 and I have lost 121 pounds and I am a size 3 I started at 249 and a size 22. Now I am having to worry about losing too much....who would have ever imagined that someone would say i need to eat more.....lol

I had alot of complications with mine but I would do everything again if I had too. Its amazing how much more energy I have now I cannot sit still
I live in Lafayette, LA I have a great doctor here his name is Gary Stevens he is very personable. I had the surgery at Southwest Medical Center here in Lafayette.
I went from a size 32 to a 20 now I am still losing I have hit a plateau and its depressing but I weighed today and Ive lost another 3 more lbs so that is 151 so far but its just not coming off as fast as Id like Id still like to lose another 80 or so lbs I was 415 when I had my surgery I hate that I let myself bloat up like that but Im a happier person now.
Thanks for writing me back lets keep in touch as our anniversary date approaches. Do you have any special plans on this day?

I had surgery June 30th at Akron General . I started at 366 and size 30. Now i am 235 and size 18.......

Donna, everyone loses at different paces so don't give up yet. I thought I'd lose a lot faster too. No one ever said how much hard work this is. I'm not anywhere near goal and no plastics have been done. Did your insurance pay?

Hi all, I dont get here often but I see no one else does either.. I will never probably make the coveted century club, but am happy with the 90 pound club. to those wondering how soon they could get the ps I had it last month at about 10 months... I am recovering nicely from the brachioplasty although at times it seems like a pulling tearing pain although the incision lines look really good.. the tummy is a still numb in spots.. and at times, usually at night, there is a burning type of pain in the abdomen, not unbearable but there is still some pain..I wear a back brace with a good support for the stomach and it helps hold it in while it heals.. I also during most of the day wear ace wraps on the arms to keep the incision line intact although I don't think it will tear open.. it helps me to remember not to lift more than I should for now.. everyone take care and continue to be blessed..
