Topic: Need Help! 1 yr post op & not losing!
I will be one year post op on 6/23/04. My high weight was 260 pounds. I lost 11 pounds right before surgery, so I was 249lbs at time of surgery. I know weigh 150lbs. i know thats about a 100 pound weightloss, but I'm concerned. I drink my water (most of the time), exercise 3 days a week for 45minutes to 1 hour (just as I have all along), and I certainly get in all my protein. I can eat a lot more now thatn I could a year ago, that's for sure. But I don't eat sugar!!! No caffeine, no sugar, no carbonation, and watch my carbohydrates. I recently got off the NuvaRing for birthcontrol and started taking pills again (OrthoTriCyclen). I was down to 148lbs, gained 4 or 5 pounds and went back up to 152/153. This morning the scale said 151lbs. I'm disgusted with myself and don't know how I'm going to ever lose these last 20 pounds I need to lose to get to my goal weight of130lbs. I'm only 5'3" tall. Please, someone help me. Give me advise, knowledge, information, whatever you can offer! I'm desparate to lose these last 20 pounds! Thanks for your time and concern!

Topic: RE: I have a complaint about AMOS
I understand why you are upset. However, I don't think this is an issue that AMOS has any control over. One must be very cautious when entering any information on the internet because it is generally captured and can show up in a google search. This is an internet issue and not the result of any policy that AMOS has initiated. Again, I fully understand and agree with you regarding the protection of your privacy. However I feel that your anger at AMOS is misplaced. If anyone knows differently, please let me know.

Topic: I have a complaint about AMOS
It has come to my attention that when someone types in my name on google information from AMOS comes up with links and whatever information I gave to AMOS when I originally joined listing the town I live in. I was told to change my name so that this wouldn't happen, however, when I got a digest from a group I belong to this morning my real name showed up instead of my code name. I know a lot of people are really open about their surgery but I like to keep private things private and find it really disconcerting having exposure like this. Unless AMOS is able to change their practices I will be forced to terminate all connection and have my membership permanently erased. I am totally at wits end on this. Why does the world need to know my private life, including where I live? le
