I'm on the OTHERSIDE and so THANKFUL!

First I want to thank everyone who emailed me and posted giving me prayers and well wishes. I want you to know I so much needed those and did appreciate them with all of my heart. I was wheeled in for Labband Surgery at 9am on Wednesday, June 11, 2003 and came out of surgery around 10:15 and went straight to recovery as a NEW WOMAN. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the new me. I will never forget 6/11/03. I have to say so far my surgery has been nothing but good and my recovery has been even better. I have the normal pain from the gas and my incisions, but other than that, I'm doing great. I returned to work on Monday (5 days post op) and was able to work 6 hours before heading home - I drive 2 hours round trip to work each day - so really I was away from home for 8 hours. I'm going through the learning curve of learning to eat SLOWER and SMALLER amounts. I'm on full liquids now and boy how I love pudding and cream soups. The clear liquids were about to kill me. I am hoping I will be an inspiration to someone one day. I weighed on Tuesday and had lost 10 pounds since surgery. I won't weigh again until next Wednesday.
