Hi everyone, Surgery (Open RNY) was last Friday afternoon. I got home Monday AM. Zero complications. No vomiting. Pain is very bearable (in fact, still don't have my presciption pain killer because we cant find a pharmacy that carries liquid Roxicet). Will be able to get it today. Just been taking Tylenol liquid at night to help get comfortable for sleep. Sleeping in the Lazyboy because I keep slipping down in the bed for now. It's Wednesday and I'm walking on the road twice a day (up the block and back). Concentrating on protein (real meals and carnation instant breakfast ) and water. Pre-ops, tuck this away as another great outcome. E-mail me if you have a specific questions. Thanks too to my sweetheart well wishers: It mean't and still means so much... Luv, Renee

My LapRNY was also on Friday the 13th. I came home on the morning of the 15 and I felt great!! The only thing that I packed that I used in the hospital were my own pillows from home. I get to try an egg tomorrow morning after nine days of broth, jello and water and boy howdy I am SO excited! For the last two days I have been very tired and weak, but today I added some protein mix to my broth and have felt a little better. My doctor doesn't suggest protein shakes or supplements, but I knew I had to do it. I was feeling lightheaded, fuzzy and almost drunk all the time. Anyway, I look forward to starting a regular diet on Saturday. Good luck everybody!

I wish to thank both you and Renee for your positive comments. I am having surgery on June 23 with my daughter. I'm at 7:30 and she's at 12:00. Thanks for your recommendations of what you brought. I too might need a fan as I'm always hot! Thanks again and good luck on your recovery.
