sick and worried
My surgery isn't for another 16 days but I am sick with don't know what I am being treated for strep throat but don't know if it is. I have been on antibiotics for 5 days and thought I would have seen some improvement I did for one day now I am back to feeling awful I have been taking meds regularly I don't want anything to stand in the way of surgery I am so worried that I will not get better in time. Please someone help me pray for me anything I just can't have this put off.
Hi Jamie, just wanted to tell you that I am praying for you. I had the surgery on May 29th, 2003. I almost couldn't have it done caue the night before my sugar level was at 412. I prayed a lot that night and by the time I had the surgery the next day at 1 pm it was still high but at 212. good enough for surgery. now I enjoy a normal sugar level of 85-100 and I've lost 30lbs in only 3 weeks. I feel great!. Don't worry, God is always in control. Trust in him, he will make it happen if it's his will. And remember, pray in the name of Jesus. He will hear you. God Bless.
Hello Jaime--I am 8 days away and dealt with a sinus infection at the 3 weeks away day. I think this is normal. We are stressing about so much and our bodies are just trying to cope with everything. I never thought I would feel better but I am. Keep taking your meds and taking care of yourself, have faith and keep a positive attitude it makes a world of difference. Best of luck to you. Hi, Jamie. I, too, got sick about two weeks before my surgery. I had pneumonia and had to take steroids and antibiotics. I was really worried that it would mess up my surgery date, but it was OK. The stress of waiting takes a huge toll on people's systems, I think. I'm 6 days post op, and every day I wake up and think, "Oh, thank Heaven the surgery is over with." Take good care of yourself and know that people are praying for you. I wish you the smoothest sailing possible. Marty
Jamie, please put God first, and know that everything else follows. He won't give you more than you can bear. You still have time to heal before the surgery, at least these problems did not come on you 1 or 2 days prior to surgery. Strep throat affects people in many different forms. When I had it, it took almost 2 weeks before I felt normal. Try taking some vitamin C to help build up you immune system. I like the chewable ones. I have you in my prayers. God Bless. I've been having lower abdominal pains for weeks. Stayed in ER for 12 hours, and then they sent me home. I was off work for a week. They didn't know what it was, but put me on 3 different types of antibiotics! My surgeon says it is probably appendicitis and he is going to take that out anyways. Just had to be off flagyl 10 days prior to surgery. My surgery is on this Friday. I said, "okay." I'll find out through a biopsy if it was in fact my appendix. My prayers go out to you! Keep calm and take those vitamins!

Jaimie,
Just believe that God has a plan for you to give you a future and a hope. I will pray that you are completely healed in time for your surgery. My surgery date is 6/24/03 and I'm praying that I'm in good health for then. So I'll add you to my prayers.
Be Blessed and healed,
Connie Taylor
