My date is June 24th, which is also my son's 9th birthday...

I am not sure how I feel about having the surgery on my son's birthday for obvious reasons. Part of me feels like it is the best gift I can give him and the other part of me worries that something bad will forever ruin that day for him. I cannot change the date, my Dr. only does surgery on Tuesdays and he is booked. I will be driving from Arlington, Texas to Little Rock, Arkansas. My Dr. is Dr. Kerry Ozment. He has done like 8000 of these surgeries. I feel very trusting of him doing the surgery. My insurance company denied coverage, so I am self paying. I am hoping and praying that everything will go just fine so that every year from here on out, my son and I will both be able to celebrate June 24th as a "birth"day!

You are going to be fine. You and your son will be able to celebrate your birthdays together. You are right this is the best birthday present you can give him. Sounds like you surgeon is very experienced. I am having my surgery on the 13th with Dr. Kuhn in Dallas.
