My RNY surgery was on 06-04-2002. My highest weight was around 500 lbs, measured at home by standing on two bathroom scales. I started losing weight before I went to my surgeon. My surgeon's official starting weight was 466 lbs. I now weigh 266 lbs and still losing. I went from custom made (and EXPENSIVE!!!) dresses for work in probably a size 70+. I now wear size 26 and can walk into WalMart and shop from the rack!!! What a feeling!!! I can't wait to see what this next year brings. I have lots of lose skin and that takes some getting used to. But when this 'Work in Progress' is done, I plan on hitting up my insurance company for reconstructive plastic surgery. Good luck to all of you Losers!!! Big Hugs, Sharon

I too had my anniversary june 26, I have gone from 310, to 185. whooo hooo! I love wearing shorts and tank tops and not living like I used to every summer in big baggy clothes and jeans. I'm starting to get a little color on my skin (I get pinky-red first), I know I'm a little late, but this crazy northern IL weather got summer started a little late. I'm going to go to a PUBLIC POOL next weekend with my friend Lisa Vickery (Look up her page on obesity help), her family, and my husband. It will be the first time I've been to a public pool in 13 years! I'm so happy/nervous.
Congrats to all, and best wished to those trying to get the surgery. Never give up, never surrender!
